Duplicolor DE1609 Ceramic Engine Paint

Since this product was rated to handle high temperatures I figured it would work. I am really happy with the results. It couldn't be easier I just followed the instructions on the can.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Duplicolor Engine Enamel in glossy black to improve the appearance of my engine bay. I like that the can says it's suitable for up to 500 degrees fahrenheit. This lets me know that I can paint my engine block or components near the exhaust and it won't peel due to the heat, like typical spray paint. After it dried and I was able to handle the part, I was impressed by how glossy it looked. The glossy black paint makes it look better than the original corroded metal from before. I like the gloss finish, which makes it a little easier to clean up, as opposed to matte finishes. The spray can tip is supposed to be better than the classic plastic tip. It's like a C-shaped plastic that pushes down a thin metal plunger. It works pretty well and the spray pattern does seem better than the classic kind. It was easy to use, and the only hard part is getting the car part out and prepping it for paint. You need to clean and degrease it, then mask off any areas you don't want painted. The painting part is easy after that. So far, the finish seems pretty durable and is still glossy, which I like. This paint would be good use on the other parts of my engine to cover up the corroded parts and make it look nice.

Application of this product was smooth and one coat covered the rust spot nicely. I have a few spots underneath on the frame that I need to clean up and they will be covered as well.

I painted the motor on my tractor and it turned out great. One can goes a long ways, I had no need to apply a second coat, great coverage the first time. It is resistant to heat up to 500 degrees, resistant to oil and fluids. I was able to get into tight areas with ease. It was fast drying, minimal running. A top quality paint I would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on a honda accord and the application was even and smooth. One can covered the entire engine. No blow back when spraying which is nice and it really makes the engine pop and look fresh! If you want your engine to last longer, this stuff is great to avoid your engine aging prematurely and to keep your engine looking new and sharp. Make sure you use outdoors for ventilation purposes!

Seem to be pretty quick drying time as well. Very good product. When I need to use engine enamel in the future, I will purchase the same product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This engine enamel spray in black is perfect, the can is actually super easy to hold it sprays on evenly dries fairly quickly and evenly doesn't leave any spots and when I get super hot it does not Melt Away it lasts.

Have been buying this product for the last few years. We use it on our rebuilt transmissions. Perfect colour until now. Definite colour change in new batch. Not happy at all. Doesn't coat aswell as previously. Different smell and seems thinner.
