I would like to whole-heartedly recommend this product, but I'm worried about doing so. I did a bit of reading prior to purchasing the Dupray. I've seen quite a few video ads of other steam cleaners (especially handheld ones) that are much cheaper, but the users in those ads still have to do quite a bit of scrubbing, and the steamers seem unwieldy to use. My cleaner arrived early, on Monday. I had to wait a long, agonizing week before I could use it today, a Saturday. I've spent the entire day steaming every surface I see. Floors, windows, appliances, cabinets - nothing is safe from me and my Dupray. I've had to refill the tank three times - and please understand, the tank is quite large (40oz) and lasts a long while. I just can't stop. And I can't be stopped. And this is where I worry about the ethics of recommending this product - I no longer see normal, every day surfaces. The counter is not a counter. The stovetop is not a stovetop. Everything is just a surface to be steamed. My house hasn't been this clean since it was built. It's honestly TOO easy to use - and the attachments are too well thought-out and easy to interchange. I'd used every one of them by the time noon rolled around. Typically I spend hours scrubbing away the sticky and markers and boogers from toddlers... I did hours worth of work in just a few minutes. And then I kept going. So mentally, I'm not sure I'm ok. I can't stop looking around for my next target. Everything just falls into a binary of steamable, vs non-steamable, and most of those things can be steamed. So I'd strongly recommend this steam cleaner if you have the fortitude to put it down when it's time, but I'd be hesitant otherwise - it might just take over your life.
This product is a must-have for cleaning and has multiple uses. I originally bought it to clean my car but found myself using it on the garage floor. It seemed to be the only thing that works to get the extremely stuck latex paint off the garage floor. I used the NEAT Lance with the Stainless Steel
I love this! I used it so far for my floors windows, bathroom, oven and the carpet on my stairs. It's great. I tried to clean my walls and it's too powerful peeled some paint off. Don't use on walls unless you are very gentle. I used too much steam. It gets very hot. Works great on all other listed places. Very easy to use.
My husband absolutely loves this! It sent him down a rabbit hole of hard to reach cleaning. It is easy to use, doesn't leave a film…you can just tell it's clean. Cut down normal cleaning time, it now takes less than 1/2 the time for the same, but usually better results. Definitely recommend!
The main attachment does not bend to get under furniture, whereas even cheap chinese ones have one thar can go under. A new attachment is needed to be peoduced as it does not exist. How are we supposed to clean under the couch, i asked a rep. The response? Move the couch!!! Insane! A new attachment for steaming clothes and hanging needs to be made and ready for purchase. Lastly, the hose is not detacheable. Terrible for storing. And worrisome if will need replacing.
Everything works well. A couple of things didn't do what I expected. First, the more heat applied, the bristle softens up and appear like they will not go back to normal but they do. You just need to work it back to position while still warm. Secondly, maybe this is just me but I thought it would do more of the grout work and clean baseboards for me. I may return it because I can save the money and just use a toothbrush and elbow grease.
I love this thing. It's small, lightweight, easy to use. I could see and feel how clean my kitchen was. The hoses are very long and sturdy. It immediately brightened up the disgusting old carpet in my rental apartment. I love being able to sanitize everything at once. Excellent stain removal too. My only complaints are that it took a really long time to cool down so I could refill. That was a bummer because I was on a roll. But I got a lot done before I lost steam. The other complaint is that the wand itself gets pretty hot. But I guess that can't be avoided. I can't imagine going back to cleaning without steam.
Works well FYI used once however i used it on a carpet car floor mat extremely dirty covered in oil and stains used this no soap or prior scrubbing just steam and it cleaned off a majority of the dirt and grime however if you plan for this to be your sole cleaner think again its more of a finisher cleaner type more medium duty the heavy duty cleaning if that makes sense however its efficiency in cleaning is pretty good along with the assortment in tools offered isn't so bad either as I am primarily going to use this in a vehicle
Steam is steam no matter where it comes from, but if you get steam from the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner you will find that it is easy to direct the steam to where you want it. The stylish canaster takes up little room and has an electric cord and steam hose that are long enough that you do not have to plug and unplug it while in use. Find a central plug, place the steamer in the center of your room and get ready to clean. You will need more cloths than comes with the steamer to wipe down the areas you have cleaned, for steam does make water and it needs to be wiped off to clean the area. With the attachments, you are able to clean windows, wood-work, cabinets, floors , rugs and so much more. We have used the steamer in the house, garage, and to clean our car and outdoor furniture. The only draw back I have experienced with the Neat Steamer is that the electrical cord is hand wound at the bottom of the unit; this makes neat storage, however several times I have forgotten to unwind the cord before filling the steamer with water; this is inconvenient. If the company is open for suggestions, I would suggest that they make an automatic release and rewind for the cord similar to that on my steam iron.
The main dislike of the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner is that it does NOT have a detachable hose, which makes storing the unit inconvenient and cumbersome. The unit's ability to produce powerful steam is just "okay." I used it on floor tile grout, and although it did remove some of the embedded dirt, it did not actually "clean" the grout as expected. In reference to the unit's ease of use for cleaning floor surfaces, it does an excellent job. However, because of the unit's square shape, pulling it around on its built-in wheels is somewhat cumbersome, especially compared to "mop-style" steam cleaners. I returned the Dupray Neat Steam Cleaner after just one use. I then purchased a "mop-style" steam cleaner for the floors, which is much easier to maneuver and much easier to fill and empty compared to the large Dupray tank. I also purchased a hand-held steam cleaner for countertops, toilet seats, and plumbing fixtures. The bottom line is, if you have plenty of storage space and don't have a need to clean floor grout lines, I think most users would be pleased with the Dupray's performance. However, if storage space is at a premium, or if you want to perform a "quick cleaning" of a flat surface (without filling a large water tank), consider purchasing a mop-style steam cleaner for the floors and a hand-held steamer for other steam cleaning; both are quick to fill and very agile.
