I have tried different known and unknown brands to my dismay. Duraflame is the only match I will buy because they don't skimp on both the top of the match and the quality of the striker pad. One slight move and instantly the flame is lit and remains lit. Just what you wanted and expected when you strike a match. Other brands just don't even do it at 50% of the time, Even brands you expect it from.
These are great matches if you have a wood stove
Great quality matches
I use this product to lite my fireplace!
Have used Duraflame long matches for over 18 years and never experienced having to try 4 or more matches before one finally produced a flame. Not sure if the quality of the product is the problem or something else.
I have 2 wood stoves and 2 boxes of your "safety" matches and both of them are garbage. I struck the match in the livingroom wood stove and it lit but it also broke in half and the lit end went flying onto my cat's bed and burned it before I could extinguish the flame. The other box did the same thing in the other stove but didn't lilght, thankfully. Where is your quality control????? I have had these wood stoves for 20 years so I know what I'm doing.
Have 2 boxes of kitchen matches, They came banded together . The coating and sulfur heads are inadequate. Need to try 4-5-6 matches before one flames to a light. They just fizzzle and smoke, but do not light. Only once has my 1st pick actually lit to a flame and did its job. A small purchase, but a lot of aggravation to simply light some candles. I will not buy this brand again. .
The wooden matches that I bought were very unsatisfactory. A very large percentage (at least 50%) of them either broke off when striking them, or sparked and did not light, or did not light at all. I heat my house with a wood stove and have done so for over 20 years, inexperience is not an issue. I gave the product a one star, only because it would not let me give it zero stars.
We use them for. wood stove grilling and fire pit we have used other brands and have had no problems we got them from different stores at different times of the year and still have had the same issue when you strike them off we get just a little smoke and then they don't continue to burn Danbury Ct
Same experience as other one-star review. Phosphorus coating is variable, sometimes tiny. Wood snaps or Burns quickly up the shaft— unpredictable. I have a photo of two from a box showing poor coating amd milling
