This stapler should handle corners like Arrow T25

Davecuzzo October 30, 2021

Nice stapler with awesome features, but it's missing one thing that is very important to me. It's missing the ability to staple cables to corners like Arrow's T25. I hope this model is revised or the next model can handle corners like stapling white wire to the corner of a white door frame so the cable is unnoticeable. I've stapled cables indoors and they look nicely done when fastened to the corners of doors and walls, or to the edge of baseboards and closet door frames. If this stapler could handle corners like Arrow's T25 then I won't see any reason why someone would purchase some other stapler.

Jamming is an issue

RiPpEr January 30, 2023

I purchased this a couple years ago. I had issues within a month after. I have used the recommended staples but the gun would jam up. I finally figured a work around and it's been ok for most part till today. Somehow a row of staples became caught under the loading assembly. I finally managed to dialog them but in the process the tension spring became unhooked. I can't find anyway to take it apart to reconnect the spring - if I can. I will play around trying to get it reattached but it will probably hit the garbage. The time I have spent trying to get it to work, well if I was working during that time, I could have bought many more. It's too bad as I have other dewalt tools and they have always been reliable.

Awful Staple Gun, do not buy the 5in1

Homestead Designs August 1, 2019

Over half of my tools are Dewalt, and I've been impressed with the quality and durability of their product for the price point. Many grinders, sawsalls, cordless impacts, and saws have been a workhorse in our shop for decades. We needed another staple gun to tack up some wires, and made a quick choice between the Arrow and Dewalt. I figured we'd try the 5in1, as it has the wire guide and power control. That was a poor choice. This thing doesn't like to load the standard T50 staples, and jambs repeatedly with the T25 cable staples. Unreliable tools don't last in this shop and I will be returning it to buy a dedicated unit. Now the choice again: go back to Arrow, or try again with a different Dewalt?

Useless

Heidi February 13, 2022

I wanted this for light weight upholstery projects. A big disappointment. Jams constantly. Often inserts one side of staple only, while the other side is either flat against the fabric else curly and mis-shapen. Occasionally, it will insert a staple.

The bad reviews are true.

CBS1 June 3, 2019

I read the issues the stapler had prior to purchasing but gave it the benefit of doubt. Wanted this to work very much as normally a fan of Dewalt tools. Should have listened. Brand new and doesn't fire. Jams. Obvious design problems. Needs to be recalled. Will be returning and buying different brand.

Not sure ?

CBS1 June 5, 2019

I read the issues the stapler had prior to purchasing but gave it the benefit of doubt. Wanted this to work very much as normally a big fan of Dewalt tools. Brand new and doesn't fire when using 1/4” T50 staples. Jams. Maybe only works with longer staples? I published this review prior and Dewalt deletes saying does not meet website guidelines.

Used it once and now it is useless

Rs217 November 21, 2020

I bought this 5 in 1 stapler because of the different staple types it could be used with. Use it one time to hang Christmas lights and now the staple tensioner, or whatever keeps the staples pushed forward, no longer works making the product useless. To add frustration, nothing on the DeWalt web page to help. Do not buy this product.

Spring assembly broke right away

Nothingface February 20, 2021

This is garbage. It shot no more than a couple dozen staples before the spring assembly shot out and dumped little plastic parts out all over the ground. I then attempted the extremely fiddly process of trying to put the plastic pin back into the track and hooking the cheap plastic follower back onto the spring. It still doesn't stay together. The spring doesn't have enough tension to keep the cheap plastic parts from pushing the staples to the hammer, and from keeping the plastic pin from coming unseated. I see a lot of other people having the same issue, and yet there is no information I can find from Dewalt on how to properly fix this. So, THIS IS GOING IN THE TRASH. GREAT JOB, DEWALT.

Total Garbage

Really Disappointed May 13, 2022

I never write reviews but felt compelled to warn others about this stapler. Total garbage, constantly misfires, fires blank, jambs. I got it to fire a couple of staples after launching it from the roof of my house onto the driveway in total frustration after wasting about 40 staples. Avoid this useless product, I have lots of quality Dewalt products but this unit is such garbage that I will probably stop buying Dewalt products all together.

Worst Dewalt branded product ever

Tribos February 21, 2023

Have more Dewalt branded tools than any other and always loved them. This is so bad that I am cannot conceive how it made it to the market. Staples jam (every shot, no not exaggerating)…double, triple fires (multiple staples mangled into a shapeless mass) and breaks staples. Even tried different brand of staples, same issue. After an hour trying to solve the issue, it appears to be the spring slide assembly housing. Garbage!
