DXR-8 Video Surveillance System

Purchased this for my son and daughter--in-law for their first baby. He is in the Air Force and stationed in England! They love it and are thrilled with all the bells and whistles it has. Only thing I would suggest is that there was a way to send it to an APO for someone who is in the military ... had to have it sent to me then send it to them. Other than that - it is great!

Very nice monitor. The only problem is when the baby is in the swing, he is a little blurry, but this camera is worth every penny. I did a fair amount of research and this is where we landed, and I am satisfied. Video and audio are both great.

So I searched on 5 different sites, went to Best Buy and couldn't find a dang one I liked. I wanted one that was not WiFi but rotates so I can see both kids and not have to buy more than one monitor blah blah blah. Reason on no WiFi for me, because if it's on WiFi, people can easily hack the baby monitor and watch your kids while they sleep. Which um..I definitely don't think so!! Not in my house! So anyways, I found this one. Yes the price is a little higher but you're paying for quality not the name! I dropped my monitor and the screen had black lines in it, but they have a warranty free for I believe one year, it's in the box when you buy it. They are soo nice and quick with replacements! Also they actually checked up twice to make sure everything was ok and make sure I was happy with it. I have recommended this to three friends and bought this for a friend for her baby shower and they are just in love with it too! Hands down, best thing in the world. Oh and if you're wondering about the clarity of the camera. It's awesome!

Are you looking for an easy to setup, feature packed camera, at a very competitive price? This is your unit then.....I'm a techie that recently became a new daddy! I've been impressed with the camera from the ease of setup to the operations. Here are a few thoughts: 1. Seamless transition from day/night. You can pan/tilt in a room that has a light and darker side. The switch from day to night optics occurs before you can even blink. 2. The smoothness of the pan/tilt is nice. You don't get any of that vibration or shaking as you see with other cameras. 3. Range - I would say more than advertised. I live in a all brick house and was able to go at least 500 feet outside and it still had signal and great picture. 4. The audio is amazingly clear. You can "push to talk" and the camera has a speaker on it. It sounds just like your voice, not some computerized version. Happy with the purchase!

After my daughter's Motorola monitor died and doing a lot of new research, I decided to purchase this monitor. Doing a lot of research, this monitor had excellent reviews about the product and the customer service support (which the Motorola brand lacked).

This monitor is simple & straightforward. It provides high quality video and sound for monitoring a baby, and provides quality video even in the dark. The ability to move the camera remotely works well, and makes it easy to not have to check up on the camera once it's running. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that it lacks more modern features, such as integration with mobile devices.

Originally bought the Arlo baby monitor due to its wifi capability, however that proved to be one of its many downfalls. Switched over to this unit and am much happier. The only thing I wish it had was a sound machine built in but I will take a solid working camera without that over one that is constantly buggy with one.

I have only had this device for two days and so far so good. The image is surprisingly good. I have not tried the zoom adapter yet but I like the features and how easy it is to use. The thermometer is off but once you know how much it's off it's very consistent. For example my home is 74F but the device states it's 79F, when my home rises to 75F it reads 80F. Other than that I like it.

The product is easy to set up and use. I like the product very much. However, it seems like someone used it before because it was a little dusty and has writing on the charger. I am a little disappointed because it's an expensive product, I really want to get a new one.........and they sent me the one that other customer returned. I have to say, the product has no issues and it is good.

All I wanted was a reliable monitor as I have already been through 4 monitors (1 Motorola, 3 infant optics) in 3 years with 3 kids 3 and under. I settled with the reduced video quality of the infant optics because the reviews were overall more positive than motorola. I am on my third infant optics monitor in 1 year because they simple stopped turning on for no explainable reason. The first camera I dealt with the extended warrantee company I think no longer services Walmart (I bought a new plan through Allstate since then). What a nightmare. My most recent camera I had the pleasure of dealing directly with the infant optics company since I only had the camera for 3 months. Much better customer service and they sent me a replacement within a week of when it stopped working as opposed to a month through extended warrantee. Bottom line, I just dont believe electronics are built to last anymore.
