Easy to set up and a much better Model than the 4XL

Super easy to set up and very straightforward to use. No ink needed. Prints quite fast and very easy to insert the printing labels. Will definitely have a lot of use out of this to print shipping labels and what not

I will say the shipping labels are small but they do the job. Really high quality label printer. Works pretty quickly. Ink prints well. Connected and worked as needed!

Cons: • Occasional jams: While infrequent, label jams do happen, which can be a bit frustrating but manageable. • Proprietary labels: The inability to use third-party labels is a drawback, especially given the price of official Dymo cartridges. More flexibility would be a welcome improvement. Overall: Despite a few minor inconveniences, the Dymo LabelWriter 550 has become my go-to label maker. Its ease of use, reliable performance, and sharp print quality make up for the occasional hiccups. While wireless connectivity would make it even better, I'd still rate it a solid 9/10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Label Writer 5XL was easy to set up. It comes with a USB, a long power cord/charger, Ethernet port and easy to follow directions. The labels were easy to load into the machine. The print quality is nice and there were options, through the software I had to upload to my laptop, to select fonts, add clip art, create QR codes, and boarders.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DYMO has been well-known for its label printers for a long time. However, this one is very disappointing to me. First, the installation is confusing and frustrating. It seems like the software and hardware do not work well together. Second, this printer only recognizes genuine DYMO labels. DYMO has added an RFID chip to both the printer and the label roll core to prevent the use of non-OEM labels. Finally, there's the price of the printer. This is an expensive machine, yet you cannot use it freely because of the RFID chip, making its value for money virtually nonexistent.

OEM Dymo Labels are the only option for this printer. They only come in white, and our business needs orange labels. The 4XL was a perfect fit for us, but it broke. We had to return this as it was unusable in our situation. If you're going to take the route of greed and not let us use labels without your RFID Tag, at least give your customers options to fit their needs.
