Dyson AM09 Hot + Cool Fan Heater

This is my second Hot plus Cool Jet type unit. It is much quieter and appears more powerful than my first unit 12 years ago. I am a happy user and would recommend this model.

This is my second Dyson Hot & Cool ... my last one I had for 15 wonderful years and bought my present heater as a replacement thinking the old one couldn't last for ever, so with a very old winter looming, I decided it was time for me to spoil myself ... my Dyson is so efficient both heating and cooling, runs silently and provides warmth instantaneously whenever required - it is simply amazing!!!!

I live in Vietnam, my friend brought this fan (white) for me. The fan has a great design. The heater feature is really amazing, soft warm air in winter. But i want it to have more air power in personal mode, so that i can put it far away from me. I don't really like the diffused mode, it's much cooler than the personal one.

My wife got these on one of her TV shopping channels when they were a “ todays special value” I thought she was crazy. I love them. We also got 2 of the larger tower air purifier Dyson fans ( without heat feature) they, and my Dyson V10 Animal cordless vacuum have made us HUGE Dyson product fans . Their products are a bit expensive, but they ALL work great.. Dyson ROCKS!

I bought this expecting a good overall midrange fan, but the cooling is just not there. It's really hard to get any proper cool airflow going, and if you turn the speed up to try and feel something, it gets super noisy. The heater works totally fine and does the job. But if you're buying this hoping for a quiet, effective way to cool down, it's just not worth it in my opinion. @dyson_anz

I have had this product for two years. The hot mode works very efficiently putting out hot air to increase the temperature in the room and therefore make it hotter. However the cool mode does not put out cool air to reduce the temperature in the room. The cool mode simply circulates hot air. If the use of the words “Hot” and “Cool” are used to describe the unit itself it implies the two modes act oppositely. One mode to put out hot air and the other to put out cool air. That is not the case at all.

I bought this fan Oct 2021. It completely died Oct 2022. Although it has a great warranty and I've generally been happy with the fan, I'm extremely frustrated to be waiting 2 months for a replacement -- of course, it's winter and I specifically bought the fan for the colder areas of my home.

My cheap space heaters have lasted me for upwards of a decade but my Dyson AM09 received an H2 error code and no longer functions. Based on what ive read, Dyson won't actually help with the issue. Save yourself the trouble, get something better.

We bought this last month to help cool our room at the cottage during the summer. We never took it to the cottage because, when we tried it at home, it didn't cool anything. When seated 10 feet away from it, we couldn't even feel a breeze (and the fan was on power level 10). The heater function seems to work but we thought that might be a nice extra for cold autumn days before the furnace turns on. However, we really bought it for the cooling. And it doesn't cool. It's just a very small, weak fan. Disappointing.
