I love the fan. It's very effective and although I didn't think I'd use the lanyard it really does work and help to cool you amazingly well. At higher speeds it is far stronger than any other hand held fan I've ever owned and on lower speeds it somehow feels as though the air it is blowing is cooler than other fans at a similar speed. Be aware it is very very noisy which means it's hard to use around other people. Do not be fooled by the hush in the name. You couldn't use it in a restaurant or theatre, it wouldn't be fair to anyone else.

It delivers a fantastic amount of air at variable rates. I gave four star because “hush” it is not! It has a constant “jet” whistle which gets louder as you increase the force. You could not use it in a public space and definitely couldn't sleep with it.

I have been using the Hushjet Mini for a few weeks. Overall I think it is a great product. The battery life is good, it's portable, and for such a small fan it is extremely powerful. As with all Dyson products, it is pricey, but you get what you pay for with Dyson, excellent build quality, aesthetically appealing and lasts. The only minor issue I have is that it is louder than I thought it would be which is a shame. However, I would definitely recommend this product from my experience with it. Update: I still agree with the above comments I have made however, I have been using it for a while now and for such a small product it is extremely loud. I have to switch it off when I have a meeting or I am on the phone. It is an odd thing to call it hush. Still a great product though. I have many Dyson products which are all great.

Fairly effective fan, especially at higher fan speeds where it generates significant air movement, but the noise is just ridiculous there, and even at low speeds the volume of noise generated makes this impractical for public spaces.Also the lack of airflow direction adjustment is inconvenient and you have to devise methods to prop the fan in the correct orientation for optimal effectiveness.

It is so loud I find It uncomfortable to use, it's got a real whiny noise to It, which actually ends up giving me a headache. It's too loud to have in the bedroom overnight, it's actually much louder than the Dyson blade fan I have in the bedroom instead. It does blow air effectively , but.... It will not hang around my neck to blow air at my face/neck because of having a bust, it turns itself around and blows everywhere but my face. Hard to hold it without blocking the air vents at the bottom. Would I buy it again , no Would I return it if I could, yes I don't use it for long enough to comment on how long it lasts on a charge, as it's so whiny I turn it off after using it for a short time . Reached out to Dyson who told me there was not an issue with it and that it does get louder if you increase the speed . However even on level 2 it's whiny . Shame as always been please with other Dyson products

I bought this a few weeks ago. I thought it was effective in cooling down using it on my desk on first setting, but having to use it outside in the heatwave last week, I had it up quite powerful around my neck (3 or 4 setting) and had comments it sounded like the hoover was on! …. and the power did not last very long, so not very efficient and I was left with no fan, when friends with cheap handheld ones were still working. It's not lived up to expectations having been tested in hottest conditions. Disappointing.

Love all my Dyson (owned over 10 items) but this is the only item I can truly say didn't live up to Dyson standards and expectations. So Noisy. I was hoping to wear around my neck and actually feel the air more, but it needs a better design. I think you need to design a true neck fan and advertise this one as a mini desk or handheld only.

Despite the name, this is the loudest fan I've ever encountered. It sounds a bit like a hair dryer or a plane taking off. The air flow from it is very concentrated, so you can only cool a fraction of your face at a time with it. It does have serious power to it, but I much prefer my considerably cheaper fans. Not sure I'll ever use this, wish I'd sent it back.

The airflow is very pointed, I wish it spread a bit to have more coverage like their competitors. The sound is so loud, I wish the noise didn't go louder than the first level of airflow. Level 2,3,4, and 5, it sounds like a jet and it's unsettling to use in public. It's also bigger than I thought it would be.

In addition, the airflow coverage is too narrow and does not appear to adequately address ergonomic considerations. From a user-comfort perspective, it is generally undesirable to direct a continuous jet of air onto the same surface area for extended periods, as this can lead to discomfort and reduced usability. Overall, the product design appears insufficiently refined, with notable shortcomings in both acoustic performance and airflow distribution. Given these issues, the product does not deliver the level of quality and user experience that consumers would reasonably expect.
