Dyson PencilWash™ Cordless Wet Cleaner | Bright Copper | New | Latest Technology

I bought this a month ago. Honestly, I've used better floor-washing vacuums, but I trusted the design and the Dyson brand. I own several of their products and they've never let me down. This one is different. The red button on the base doesn't close properly. I had to spend time forcing it to click just so I could start using it, which is frustrating and shouldn't happen with a product at this price point. Overall, this is a real usability issue.

Sadly, I was very disappointed, bought to clean my tiled kitchen floor more easily, used the probiotic additive as directed, but as soon as you use it you saw that it leaves a water residual that dries and then stains. I can't recommend this at all, just doesn't do what was expected.

We have had it for about a month and it does replace a mop and does a reasonable job for daily cleaning. Definitely not as powerful as some of the floor washers that spray/scrub and vacuum up the solution. Would hav expected a bit more cleaning power for the price, but definitely quite convenient and easy to use as a mop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a free trial product. Aesthetically, I like the look and feel - very modern and sleek like any other Dyson products. It's a bit heavy than I imagined. Also, the washer cannot heat up the water for cleaning on hard stain and detailed cleaning. Further, the washer cannot auto wash the roll, meaning users have to remove the roll then hand wash it after every single use, even after cleaning a small area, to prevent smell and mould growth. I wish there was a heat function for the water for cleaning, auto wash, then auto dry with heat.

I love Dyson products and when I realised they did a mop I was over the moon, as we have really had problems with replacing mop heads and the supermarket products are unreliable with replacements, often requiring buying a whole new system. This Dyson product is SO disappointing. You can't prop it for a moment against a counter as it falls over, and the handle is full of electronics so I am terrified I'm going to break it. I have to be so careful stopping for a moment, and making sure it is safe. It raises my anxiety rather than being an enjoyable experience. The pencil mop does not remove semi fixed spots of dirt, so I have to use my fingernails as I mop to get the dirt mobile enough to be mopped up. As I mop the pencil mop leaves dirty streaks, so I have to use my socked foot to mop that up as I go along! The water container does not last beyond the kitchen floor and the hall, before needing refilling for the scullery and the toilet. Emptying it is an unbelievably dirty business, I have to get the (admittedly wonderfully gathered) dirt out with my hands as there is no other way of removing it, which is so unpleasant. I also have to get my hands really dirty to clean the mop and it is impossible to reach the nooks and crannies. I am very shocked. I have looked at the videos, and they make it look such an easy and clean process. I must be doing something wrong, but the video rushes through too quickly to be sure where my error is. Unless, there is no error. I persuaded my husband this was a perfect, guaranteed purchase, and have not had the courage to tell him how awful it is

I bought the pencil wash on the day it was released in the U.S. The pencil wash did a remarkable job cleaning my floors while I simply directed the path using the handle with ease. I have never removed so much dirty waste water as with the pencil wash. I put the handle in the charger after I was finished. Cleaning the head is simple with removal of the cleaning solution container for refill and simple slide on reattachment. l bought the pro-biotic solution to add with clean water for the next time to be used. The pencil wash is a durable precision engineered product that gives the best clean to rave about.

I just love my PencilWash. At the age of 81 I started to find it difficult when washing my kitchen, hallway and toilet floors. I cannot tolerate dirty floors so when I saw Dyson had brought out machine to wash my floor I was delighted. It doesn't leave the floor wet through drys quickly and is efficient at cleaning my floors. Especially my hall flooring, it has small ridges that ive struggled to get clean over the years my new PensilWash is bringing it up like again.

I have had my Pencil Washer for several weeks now and love the job it does on my floors. There is a slight learning curve to apply just the right amount of wetness. I used to use a Swifter but that was tiring work and it left a lot of streaks. The Pencil Washer acts like it's self propelled making it effortless and it leaves no streaks. I'm very pleased with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this mop! Easy to use with restricted movement as it pushes itself along. I recently broke my arm and it's been really hardy to be able to get the house clean Without too much effort. Great on wood floors and tiles

Simple edge to edge cleaning. Well engineered design. Looks a little 'hooky' and the waste water cover tends to fall off but the light weight unit does the job very well with little effort on the user's part.
