I am very happy with the Dyson Purifier and Humidifier. It's efficient, works well (is not as loud as I thought and read in reviews), the Dyson app works very well just wish it had more explanations for each category recording but may have to do a bit more research. When air quality drops, I turn it on (purifier and humidifier) at the same time and it doesn't take very long to purify the home. The water tank is large and holds enough to last for a while, I'd say about a week for decent daily usage. The design is a bit bulky but it's an amazing machine that keeps our home clean and purified. I'm very happy with my purchase. In my opinion, worth the expensive price tag.
Just be aware that it is not a heavy jumbo humidifier. And for max moisture production, you must max out the fan - not the quietest thing. Purification is a nice plus, but I already had 2 other purifiers. My air is very clean. You will appreciate the very low maintenance. Most other options require complete cleaning every few days - yuck! And if you don't give them a good scrub every few days, you will be shooting slime, gookus, and bacteria into your air. The Dyson stays clean as a whistle - very nice. Very happy with my purchase.
This machine is one of the best additions to our home we have ever made! The air feels crisp and clean. The humidity is perfect and it has the design quality you would expect from Dyson. From someone who has terrible seasonal (all seasons;) allergies, this is a game changer. I would highly recommend!
Purchased over a month ago. Easy to set up and appears to be working, but I'm a little irritated about a few features. First, I have my machine scheduled to turn on and off nightly at the same exact time every day, with the same exact settings, including "backwards airflow" and "night mode." Most of the time, this works as intended, but some nights the machine has turned on and those two settings are off, despite no one changing them. It's easy to fix, but if I have them set a specific way, I shouldn't have to fix them. The second issue I have is the lack of Air Quality Report. As previously stated, we've had the machine for over a month. During that time, we have had "continuous monitoring" turned on every single day, since day one, however the app continues to say "Report Unavailable." I've looked into troubleshooting and verifying how much data is needed, and we meet all of the requirements, so it's annoying we aren't receiving/gathering this information. I've seen Dyson comment on many similar posts, "To successfully generate an Air Quality Report within the MyDyson™ app, your Dyson purifiers need to have run for a minimum of 12 hours a day for at least 10 days a month. Continuous Monitoring mode will count towards this, as it ensures air quality data is monitored and reported even if your machine isn't actively running." These requirements have been met for a while now, but still no report and no support past the standard shown above to help troubleshoot.
Unfortunately this machine has not worked since we got it a month ago. It seems to work as an air cleaner, but no humidification. They saw it needs a replacement pump, but none available since we got it. This is the 3rd we have received, the first also would not humidify. The second was a lesser model and worked for a while, then was replaced by this the correct model. So now we wait.
I bought this machine early April, after 2 weeks, the oscillator stopped working, I called customer care and was hung up. Then I got busy and called last week again, the lady tried troubleshooting and couldn't fix it. And advised me to send in for repair. I don't understand for a brand new machine need a repair? I would like a replacement for a brand new one not a refurbished one, but I don't know who can I speak to.
It was quiet and easy to use, after a modest learning curve. But it didn't humidify the room very well. Since humidification was the main reason I bought it, I returned it.
Horrible! I bought my original purifier/humidifier in December 2024 which lasted until November 2025. I took it to the local Dyson repair shop and had to be sent a replacement machine in January 2026. The same issue happened with the second machine: after turning off the machine, the swing flaps closed and then do not reopen when turned back on. DO NOT BUY THIS EXPENSIVE hunk of crap!
If I could give this zero stars, I would. It worked well for about 2 weeks. Now it won't humidify, says there is a drip tray overflow, when there is more, has been left to dry for several days, just in case. Also does not oscillate now, won't even transition from front blowing to rear, or vice verse. Not to mention this isn't the first problem I've had. This unit is a warranty replacement for a previous unit that also stopped oscillating and wouldn't recognize water in the tank, also the pump column has failed several times, as it did on my previous unit.
The first Dyson Purifier quit working properly after one week of use, when the oscillating vents feature stopped working. Sent the unit back to Dyson and it was replaced with another brand new unit. This second unit quit working after three days of use with the same problem, the oscillating vents feature quit working. Sent the unit again back to Dyson, it has now been three weeks and have not heard anything back from Dyson as to what they are going to do to fix the problem. Own several other Dyson products and have generally been quite satisfied with performance and reliability. The Dyson purifier, however, seems to have a design flaw with the oscillating vents and needs to redesigned, so they work longer than a week especially considering the very high retail price charged for the this product compared to other manufacturers with similar products.
