[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this machine almost 3 weeks ago now, it is working very well, battery has enough power to do my apartment with 2 bedrooms, I have a small carpet so I can't give my best feedback on it but it works well, navigation works well only couple of times had some issue navigating, it did not know where to go as it is lost . Noise not bad as it is not high suction very good as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this machine as part of the owners trial program. Very grateful for the opportunity to test this out and I'll preface the review by saying I may just need more time with it or less furniture in the rooms it runs in I spend quite a bit of time researching Dyson products before purchasing them so had high expectations for Dyson launching such an intelligent machine and am slightly disappointed with this one. It felt like it would only work in a room with minimal or no furniture. This is the first robot vacuum I've owned so it also could be a user issue. First the machine is gorgeous, the tower is narrow enough to fit neatly in a corner and the collection tank is large enough for multiple cleans before needing to be emptied. It looks very nice in the home and would suit most home colour schemes without being too contrasting The mapping isn't quite there yet. I set it up in a bedroom with the usual furniture and it couldn't navigate properly to cover the area On navigation, it struggled to find the base which was right behind it. The error “unable to determine location” repeated and after a while it would find itself back Suction power is OK.. it left some obvious particles which I needed to go over with my Gen5 Battery power is yet to be tested. The emptying wasn't complete, dust got stuck and could not dislodge, needed manual emptying. There is no option to run a second emptying or one on demand which would be a great feature to have in the app. On app features - it's fairly comprehensive and enjoyable to watch the mapping take place and the clean analytics It climbs over thick rugs well so that is a plus and I like the settings and options to place furniture on the map to help it learn its surroundings Noise level was normal and there are options to have a quiet run so this is a great feature Overall carpet cleaning was average, don't recommend to use it on carpet. Keep it for hard floors. One note that the video user guides in the app were not very helpful, they showed the machine being taken off the dock, it cleaning, a picture of the phone app and then the machine returning to the dock. Would be great if someone could look into this and fix The anti tangle brush bar didn't quite work, hair and threads from the rug it grabbed wrapped around the bar and needed manual removal Will keep it for use on hard floors and spend some more time on the mapping and furniture placement to see how it goes. I have read the other reviews and am a little puzzled whether my machine is faulty or I haven't read the instructions well enough. Will give support a call to help
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We already own quite a few Dyson products so was quite confident with the technology and quality of the products. Having said that, I've always been a bit sceptical about robot vacuums and how effective they really are. I think my biggest concern is that it would take me a while to read the instructions and having to manually map the area so the robot vacuum can do its job. I was really surprised that the set up was seamless and the whole mapping of the house was automated and required no manual intervention. We live in a duplex so it took the robot approx. 10 mins to map the ground floor. The more cluttered your house is, I'm assuming the longer it will take and having dining chairs for the robot to navigate was definitely testing its limits. To my surprise it did a great job navigating the chairs. We have a French bulldog and the suction ability was quite good as it was able to pick up most of the dog fur on the first run. The robot doesn't make much noise when its vacuuming, although when it's emptying the bin, it can get a little noisy, but it is for a very short period....less than 10 seconds. Overall, very happy with the dry vacuum and now I wished I had the wash and dry vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic vacuum cleaner just set and forget. You can schedule the vacuum to clean as often as you want. It is so great the watch the vacuum do its job. It even goes under furniture. I just love being able to vacuum and watch tv at the same time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to be selected to review this product, and so far I have had a really good experience with it. It's been so useful for keeping the house clean while I'm doing other things or even while I'm at work. So far, it has saved me a lot of time and reduced the need for me to spot-clean a couple of times a week due to everyday mess, hair and dust. The only thing I have been a little disappointed about was an incident where I was in another room cleaning and suddenly heard a loud noise. When I went to investigate, I found that the device had fallen down the stairs. The stairs are metal, so unfortunately the device now has quite a few dents and visible damage from the fall. It is still working, but it is disappointing to have a relatively new device now physically damaged. At this stage, I can't comment on what has happened or what the next steps will be, as I haven't yet had the opportunity to discuss the incident with Dyson. I was required to submit this review before being able to speak with Dyson about the issue, so I'm hoping to have some further clarification after contacting them. I had made sure the layout was properly mapped before using the product, including setting the stairs as a no-go zone, so I'm unsure why the device was able to reach the stairs and fall down them. Aside from this incident, I have been really happy with how useful the device has been and the amount of time it has saved me with everyday cleaning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry through a Dyson product trial. The cleaning is fantastic. It picks up way more than I thought a robot would, both the fine dust and the bigger bits, and it gets under the bed and couch where I hardly ever bother to go. The little side brush is handy along the skirting boards too, and it goes from the floorboards onto the rug without any trouble, adjusting its suction to suit. I have really long hair and it's always on the floor, but it handles it well and doesn't get all tangled. Setup through the app was easy and I had it running within a few minutes of opening the box. The app is simple, and I like being able to start it while I'm out and come home to clean floors. I've got it scheduled to run each day, so I literally don't need to think about vacuuming anymore. I love that I don't have to worry about emptying it either. It's also quiet so it doesn't bother me if I'm home when it's operating. My place is a small apartment with a lot of furniture, so it took a while to work out the layout, and it got stuck on a couple of cords at the start. If your place is like mine, tuck the cords away and push the chairs in first. I still use my stick vacuum around the chair legs and corners about once a week, but the robot keeps on top of the rest, so I'm vacuuming a lot less than before. It's made my life more efficient and feels like the quality you'd expect from Dyson. Most of my floors are hard, so I'd love to try the wash and dry version as well. Having the mopping done at the same time would be significant cut my cleaning time. Overall, it does a great clean and it's taken a chore off my list.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dyson R1 Nurovi has quickly become the newest member of our family – quietly working away in the background and keeping on top of the everyday mess. My biggest piece of advice is to invest the time in setting it up properly. For the initial scan, clear as much as you can from the floors so it has the best opportunity to understand the layout of your home and map out its routes accurately. It takes a little effort upfront, but it's worth getting right from the beginning. Connecting the R1 Nurovi to the app is simple, and from there you can tailor the cleaning to your home. You can create maps for different floors, divide them into individual rooms and add no-go or hazard areas, such as the stairs. The app then gives you the option of cleaning an entire mapped area or selecting a particular room that needs attention. However, I have found the multi-storey functionality less seamless than I expected. I took the time to map our additional floor properly and cleared everything away for the initial scan, but when cleaning on a floor away from its dock, the R1 Nurovi keeps trying to find its way back to it. This can mean it stops before completing the room and I have to start the clean again. I haven't been able to find a setting that allows it to simply continue cleaning on that floor until the battery needs recharging. For a multi-storey home, this has been my biggest frustration. When it is cleaning, I've been really impressed with how well it navigates. The sensors are very responsive, recognising objects left on the floor and working around them rather than getting stuck. It means you don't have to make sure the house is perfectly tidy every time you want it to run. It also transitions well between hard flooring and carpet and can navigate changes in floor height of up to 4cm, which is handy if your floors aren't completely level between rooms. Most importantly, it does a thorough vacuum. Through the app, you can see the path it has taken and monitor where it has cleaned. You can also adjust the suction and noise levels depending on what you need – turn it down so it can quietly work around you, or increase the suction when an area needs a more powerful clean. On the floor where the dock is located, the scheduling feature is one of my favourites. You can set it to clean while you're out and come home to freshly vacuumed floors. It returns to the dock to empty itself and recharge when needed, so there's very little you have to manage manually. It's not going to replace your vacuum completely. It can't clean the staircase or get behind doors, so there are still areas I need to vacuum myself. But for the areas it can access, the cleaning is thorough and it has significantly reduced the amount of vacuuming I need to do. Overall, there's a lot I like about the R1 Nurovi. The quality of the clean, obstacle detection, scheduling and self-emptying make it very easy to live with when it's operating on the same floor as its dock. For a multi-storey home, though, I'd like the experience to be more seamless, particularly when cleaning a floor where the dock isn't situated.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the new Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry robot vacuum cleaner a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't be more happier, it's great at cleaning. Doesn't loose suction since it regularly empties itself. Navigates deftly around obstacles far better than any robot vacuum I've used in the past, thanks to LIDAR technology. It does hop up and over things like carpets and clean well in a pattern, and covers nooks and cranny very well. It does return to the base for recharging battery, when needed. My only gripe is, emptying operation to be quite noisy. I probably should get a wet and dry since we have a hard floor and no carpet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the R1 Nurovi for a few weeks now. Set up took some effort because set up instructions was not easy to understand. Ended up going to Dyson site on YouTube. When it worked, carpet cleaning and suction was good on carpet. Height of sensor on top of the vacuum prevents the vacuum navigating itself to clean under sofas and beds that would otherwise have no issues if that sensor wasn't there. Battery seems to last a while, although haven't been able to fully test this as I had an issue that prevented it from working after a few times. The vacuum had various noise levels when working, from a gentle hum while vacuuming to a loud noise that sounded like it was some sort of leaf blower. On the whole, it was good while it worked and will work with Dyson to fix the issue.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A must-buy! The Dyson Nurovi robot vacuum has made cleaning so much easier and more convenient. You simply press start, and it vacuums the whole house for you. It's even connected to my AI assistant, so I can operate it using just my voice. One of my favorite features is that I no longer have to worry about manually vacuuming up my pet's fur. It does all the work for me — amazing! When it finishes cleaning, it returns to its docking station and automatically empties the waste. The waste bin is also huge, so you don't have to constantly empty it yourself. The battery life is fantastic too. It lasts up to 1.5 hours, which is more than enough time to vacuum my entire house. It can also climb over raised areas, making it great for homes with rugs and elevated surfaces. I've only had my Dyson Nurovi for a short time, but it has already cut my cleaning time by around 50%. It's made such a noticeable difference to my daily routine!
