Eagle Claw 7'6" Trailmaster Travel Spin/Fly Fishing Rod

I used this rod this weekend to fish on a stream for rainbow trout, using a Shimano Sienna 2500HG and it performed well when reeling in a 1.5 pound trout. I have a fly reel that I have not attached, but the ability to convert between fly fishing and spinning reels is great. Mine came in a hardened tube case that you can put all four pieces in. It looks to be much better than the soft case that is currently shown in the item picture.

handle looks different. must be in its spinning configuration the bag is a tube now:( was hoping to have a spot to put my reel. sorry reel your sitting front with me lol

I bought this on a lark and was astonished what an excellent rod this is. With a 6 wt line, It roll casts extremely well and turns over even medium streamers at a surprising distance. I've been fly fishing since I was 6 years old (am now 65) and own high end big name rods and I am enjoying the performance of this Eagle Claw and leaving my $800 rods at home. It casts drys reasonably about what you can expect from any short rod. Regardless, as a professional level (I occasionally guide) I highly recommend this rod for beginners to pros alike.

I have used Eagle Claw fishing rods for many years and always been satisfied with their performance and quality. I searched for the availability of this particular rod and checked prices and the Walmart price was as good as any. The ability to purchase the rod on-line and then pick it up at the drive-up location made the choice for me.

This is a great decent priced rod. I purchased for my 16 year old son, and he loves it. No complaints.

Did not come with all parts they had been taken out I of the box

I am taking this rod, a fly reel and a spinning reel to go fishing for 10 days. It seams to like a 6wt fly line to cast with any distance. Spinning it worked well with 1/8 oz lures and did well with some bass top water lures.

My husband thought this was one of the best gifts I had ever bought him. It was a great hit.
