best rod out there in my opnion for spin cast
BEST PAC ROD YOU CAN BUY AT A GREAT PRICE.
I've owned a few of these rods and they're great
I bought two of these Made in Colorado USA. Love fiberglass action perfect mountain lake. Suggestion coconut oil lower rod first before inserting it's tight. I used coconut oil twist back forth went in. It such tight without it could not get it started.
I bought my fiberglass Eagle Claw spin-fly pack rod in 1967 and it is still my favorite fishing rod. And I have used it for everything from beaver pond brookies in the Rockies to bass fishing in Texas. So, I decided to give my teen grandsons each a multipurpose rod that they could easily transport, store, and backpack. Here's hoping that they will still be using theirs in another 50 years!
A fishing rod that fits in the truck that's so easy to assemble!
I bought this rod after reading reviews around the internet and thought it would be too "whippy", and it is. The rod is very slim and the line guides are small and almost look too delicate. I am only interested in the spinning aspect of it, and I took it out the first day I got it and cast it for an hour or so and I was amazed at how far I could get about 3/4 oz. with 6lb. line. Also, I picked up my heavy leather backpack with the rod and it was doubled all the way over and it was fine. So, I put it through its paces as far as testing goes, and it is remarkably strong. There is a problem with the sections coming loose on hard casts, and this did happen to me a couple of times. But that will happen with any multi-piece rod like this, and you have to keep an eye on it. But during regular use everything stayed tight and straight. This rod has been in production for a long time and there is a reason for it. If you need a travel rod that will fit in a small space and don't want to spend a lot of money, try this one. It's a lot of fun!
When I got the rod I tried to put it together and the second largest piece would not fit into the but section, so I returned it to the store where I got it and got my money back.
