I noticed they had the blade turned different than what I had on my old drill which I bent. This angle really increased the drilling speed. I have been using Earthquake gasoline operated augers for over 25 years, if not longer.

The only thing i can say about the Earthquake Earth Auger Bit - 3in. Dia. is that it drills easy and gets the job done with ease and it is vary efficient, I never found anything wrong with it because it just worked right the first time every time.

Auger works great, well built and sturdy.

Works great. I'm using it in rocky, hard clay, real tough conditions but it gets the job done. With an extension, I'm drilling 2-4 foot holes. In these conditions, the lifespan is about 250 holes. It may help to dress the bit with a file or grinder at least once in its lifetime.

The 3" auger bit is very handy when checking stone depth for sub-base road bedding material, footer depth, and many other uses

The Auger looks sturdy enough out of the box but I would not suggest it be used in rocky ground. While attempting to drill my first hole, it got stuck on a rock. While trying to free the bit the shaft folded in on itself and broke. The walls are simply to thin for medium to heavy use.
