My 16- inch Earthwise tiller was easy to assemble and does a great job tilling my garden. It is more stable and powerful than an 11-inch one I had previously. My garden is about 15x20 ft and this tiller is excellent for getting it ready to plant. Highly recommend. Electric is so nice with no gas fumes and instant start. Just be sure you have an extension cord that is rated to handle the necessary current based on the length of cord you need from your outlet. For instance, I use a 12-gauge (AWG) extension cord that is 50 feet long.
I tilled my entire side yard, digging up bricks, large rocks, and going through roots and everything else it could find. No problem at all. My only complaint is that there is no way to reverse the tines, so things that get wrapped around the tines are rather difficult to remove. You can remove the entire tine assembly on each side with a bolt but it would have been nice to have a reverse or neutral option since its an electric motor.
This little tiller did what we wanted with ease. We have a small garden that my husband normally would work by hand but since he is now working 60 hours a week he does not have time. This tiller was a life saver.
make sure to have a nice firm grip and it's like walking a big dog it's going to want to pull you so you need to adjust yourself and don't go full blast work yourself slowly into it make sure there are no wires or pipes in the ground
This thing is a beast I live in rocky soil and it chewed it up like Oprah eating cheerios. I would recommend this culrtivator to anyone. Runs just fine on a quality 100 foot extension cord. I did two gardens plots 12' by 12' in two hours a foot deep this was packed soil that never been churned up before. Don't hesitate buying this product.
Wasn't expecting much of this after I put it together. I was pleasantly surprised when I got around to using it. I remember using a Mantis about 30 years ago and remember it being a struggle. This just tore into the earth and ate it up. Maybe it is because it had rained a few days before. Helps to have the right moisture content in the soil. Did an area of virgin grass about 5' buy 20' in about 20 minutes. Only problem was the occasional root. I cut those with hand pruners and continued on. Seems to have a good amount of power. None of the maintenance headaches of gas, as long as you are near enough to an outlet. Don't have to worry about storing batteries properly either.
light weight and easy to handle. I used for tilling up ground with compacted dirt and grass, to reseed. Also used to till up dirt for garden.
I love this. Its light weight easy to use and handy ro have. I bought it to dig up my front yard and it worked great. A
Extremely quick and easy assembly. Product tilled my yard willth ease. The only thing I missed when ordering, is ypur extension cord needs to be a larger AWG to support the current this time pulls.
Powerful easy to handle piece of equipment
