Very good product . Start growing right away and covered my bare places on my lawn .
Winter's still holding on in north Idaho yet...my plan is to overseed my existing front and back lawns (front with clover mix and backyard with pet mix). For my lifestyle, once these take, the lower maintenance aspect of your product is a great concept. I'm looking forward to seeing it take and grow.
Within 2 weeks of sowing this on bare soil, I already have a clearly filling in lawn! I'm elated! I tried for a year to get something to grow and this is the only thing that's held up!
After our lawn care people talked me into a "treatment" program for my lawn we were left with NOTHING growing and a sandy base for the lawn. We spent almost a year trying to get anything to grow. After trying the Low Grow Alternative Lawn Mix we have ground covering coming in again. Thank you so much.
Dear Earthwise, The clover and grass seeds are sprouting nicely with the rain we have had in Houston. Our two hens got to them in one spot that looks a bit bare. We will add some more seed and keep the hens caged for a day so they can sprout. Rain is due again today! I'll send some pics when the section is more completely covered. Victoria
This seed is fantastic!! It filled in our yard perfectly and looks amazing. We are excited to see it next spring when we start drawing our pollinators!
I'm trying to convert a lawn from grass to this mix. I did a test patch in late spring on the part with the worst soil (thin and too well drained): it did well enough that I did the rest in two scalp/overseed sections some weeks apart. All were well started, now we wait for spring.
Seed arrived shortly before our first frost warning, so we will wait for spring to overseed. We applied a previous order of same product last summer, and it seemed to be doing well, but we felt we needed a second application for our stubborn, clay-filled soil. Looking forward!
I planted last month and it is growing. Hoping after winter it continues to come back and grow. I bought more seed to overseed another section of lawn.
It was a surprise to see how small and light the seeds were. I did a selective overseed between rainstorms and am quite happy with the amount of coverage I achieved. The price is what keeps it from being a 5 star.
