I really like this welder you can adjust the power and wire speed anywhere in the range. My my old big name welder only had a few settings
The MIG140 welder , once I'd practiced a bit , honestly made a pretty darn good weld. I'd used Lincoln and Miller commercial welders at work in the past. Just getting the balance between wire size, speed and amperage was all I needed. Affordable with a 3 year warranty too!!????
excellent and smooth operating welder. I purchased this machine while i was in the process of fixing my eastwood mig135 and now that its fixed it just sits because the mig140 is so much smoother. its lighter, has heavier duty drive roller assembly and has some added functions compared to the old machine. i love it and it works perfectly for sheet metal and metal up to 1/8"( can do up to 3/16") but if im doing something around that thickness i'll just plug in my 250amp welder. awesome welder and definitely a great addition to any garage that does light fabrication.
Works really well. I had never welded before and while the first couple of hours were challenging, this machine made it a breeze after that and the settings were spot on for my material (~18 gauge mild steel). Now I'm flying through welds! The fact that it came with a spool of wire and a wire brush was a nice surprise - I bought wire thinking this wouldn't come with any. It also came with everything I needed to attach a C25 cylinder. The 3 year warranty is the icing on the cake. I went from being terrified of welding to absolutely loving it in a very short period of time thanks to this machine.
This little welder works great right out of the box. I was in the market for a lightweight, 110 specific, mig welder and this one does not disappoint. Excited to see what all I can use this thing for in the future.
So far so good. Nice welder does what it is supposed to do .
I had a low end HF flux core only machine. Quickly became obvious this was not going to cut it for sheet metal (at least for me, a novice welder). Returned it and picked this one up w/ some C25 gas and I was on my way (resto work on my '76 mini). For the price, I was pleased with the quality of the unit. Easy to use and does a great job!
While I'm nearly 70 yrs old and have done dyi welded for most of that adult time it was all stick welding. Having the desire for a wire feed for quite awhile and doing research of units this was my choice. It has not let me down one bit. The quality and adjustability of controls couldn't be better from what I've used it. At this time I've not paid the cost of shielding gas quite yet but rosin cored wire is working as good if not better than my stick welders do. This unit has many of the features most other makes at double the price. I would and have recommended this unit to friends here in the central Michigan area.
Not a deal breaker, but this item did not arrive with ; MIG Wire Spool 0.023 (0.7mm), 4 inch (2 lbs), Face shield with lens and handle, or the Welding brush/hammer as in the description of contents…
Got this welder and started welding right out of the box. Its a very nice welder for restoring old cars.
