Eastwood Benchtop Metal Cutting Bandsaw

Replace your abrasive chop saw with this right now! way less mess, noise, and danger. Way safer set up, and its a SWIVEL HEAD! no more screwing around trying to angle the clamp, which is stupid. that said the handle and trigger could be better, no big deal though.

1st one was dropped by deliver company and broke at the front door to my business. Called Eastwood and one was shipped out next day. Came in and plugged it in and did the job I needed perfect. This company knows how to get it done for you with the right kind of service and great tools.

This is the one to get. Very accurate if you take the time to set it up properly. Vise is great quality. Rheostat for cutting speed. Solid tool.

This saw is a must have, it was more than I expected it to be, high quality, very nice.

The stop on the saw allows me to cut multible times with out measuring each time

The Eastwood Benchtop Bandsaw appears to be a quality made machine with the exception of the motor speed control. The motor will not start unless the speed control dial is at least 1/3 of the dial. I checked the blade top speed with a contact tachometer at more than 400 fpm, not 265 fpm as advertised. Motor speed needs to be adjusted to compensate for any force during cutting.

It's been a mixed bag with the Harbor Freight quality tools that Eastwood sells. This one, so far, has been a surprise. Cuts square (after making adjustments) and has enough power to cut the 1" angle iron I've been using. I just hope it lasts, as I see others have had gear problems.
