It went on smooth and did a great job. It would take 4 cans to do a 4 door, long bed full size truck. I was coatng all the components that was or could rust.
Worked so far like it said. Made a very nice finish. I just wish it came in gloss black. I sprayed over it with gloss black paint to get what I was looking for I hope it doesn't effect the performance of the product
Great product. It helped me restore my rusted Minnesota work van and give it years more of service in my business. Combine this product with proper surface preparation and you are going to be satisfied and feel accomplished. I used a flap disc on rusted areas and did a couple coats of this stuff with a brush, followed by paint. This product levels well with brush application.
Put it on a new frame - no rust. Brushed it on and it leveled nicely. Matte finish looks great. It will run if put on too heavy. I topped it with a rattle can from the hardware store. Won't know how it holds up for a while. Needed a second coat of something as there were some spots that were showing through a bit unevenly.
Until I found this product, I was concerned about the underside of my 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis. This is the last American car with a full frame. There were only about 250 of these vehicles titled in 2011. I feel comfortable with the protection offered by this product preserving my vehicle.
I bought Internal Frame Coating Plus with nozzle and did my internal frame on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ. What a great product and easy to use with no problems and the frame inside turned out nice. I would highly recommend this product for doing internal frames. Also tape up all holes that is not used for access for spraying in which I forgot one on the bottom of the frame and coating ran out
Yes, finally got to use my four cans of the internal frame coating plus on my vehicle! I also hand the 24” special nozzles too! The weather here was just too hot to do this for the last few months! Yesterday the weather was great, and very decent for the next few days. But today, I used my four cans to coat my 2021 Nissan Frontier frame to the best of my ability! My biggest issue were the 24” spray tubes that wanted to come off while spraying! You really need a more aggressive tube system that is held tightly to the can. Maybe a trigger style would work. Work was completed in a few short hours.
My first time using so I carefully followed the instructions on the can and used mineral spirits to pre-clean. The next day I coated the firewall and the paint crinkled a few minutes later. I called tech and they said I should have used Acetone to avoid a chemical reaction. I had to scrape and sand and recoat. They need to change the label!!
I was excited to use the rust encapsulator plus on my frame of my ram, i cleaned and prepped the frame, and within seconds of using the rust encapsulator the cap had clogged, so i switched to the other cap that came with the can, no big deal, but then that one clogged as well, so i found myself constantly cleaning and unclogging the nozzle. Seems like its holding up pretty well but we will see, i was underwhelmed by how bad it was that i had to continuously unclog or change nozzles just to get it to spray for more than a few seconds at a time.
I had nothing but problems with this stuff. I was using the long tube on the nozzle and it would occasionally spray out from the nozzle making a big mess. If you paused for more than a minute, the tube would clog up and the spray would either stop or leak out the nozzle. I have several large 1-1/2” dia access holes in my frame. I taped them over and used the spray. When I took the tape off, there was no spray on the inside of any of them beside what looked like a tiny bit of overstay. Also, out of three cans, I didn't get to completely empty any of them because the cans would stop spraying. I assume they were getting plugged. Bottom line, I would not buy this product again.
