Used this product successfully to pull a bird strike dent in the hood. Please consider informing customers that live in a hot climate to drape a sandwich baggy filled with ice over the affected area to help the glue setup. I was able to pull the dent with a 5-10 minute setup time at 86 degrees ambient temperature.
very usefull for pulling out two small dents in car. you have to work very slowly so as to not over pull the dent.
I was surprised that it's actually pretty effective. I wish I had purchased more of the plastic buttons up front. For larger dents it would help to pull more of these one at a time as opposed to having to reglue them one by one.
Appears to be a very complete kit with a good build quality. I haven't used them yet.
I think being very patient with the tool is going to give you the best results. Maybe 13-15 pulls to mostly remove the dent when you hope 4-5 would do it. Mine was on the lower door crease of a 2017 Silverado. It's mostly gone from site. I'm anxious to try it on my friends vehicles. I'm happy!
Hard to use the dent puller to the extent of getting the dent remove
I'm not sure that it was the system's fault but I could not get the little plug to adhere to the dent. Even though it's a nice compact system, I couldn't get it to work. Possibly the dent was to sharp of an angle, but disappointed nonetheless. The plug would pop off the second I put any pressure on it to pull. For me and what I tried it on, I give it a two...on a larger less angular dent it may be perfect. Quality product...except end result was what I had hoped for.
To be fair my 2 stars is based on trying to remove a small ding on a new vehicle with a clear coat finish. I read the directions and watched a video on line. I first tried to remove any polish ahead of time to prepare the surface and followed the directions using the appropriate plastic tip and the glue gun, I tried several times to get the button to stick but it didn't work, kept coming off and the ding didn't come out. Also the glue gun is garbage, it leaked inside and dried before coming out and was not functional, I had to toss it and buy a new gun. In the end I wasted over 2 hours of my time, I have an expensive tool and it doesn't do the job,
Didn't work at all. Even though cleaned the surface ahead of time, the glue did not hold on any of the dents. It just peeled off when trying to pull. Zero dents were improved. Waste of money.
Bought this kit as it was recommended for hail dent repair. After a few hours of trying on different size and shape dents, no progress. Maybe if you had a nice round dent in a flat surface if would work, but I did have luck with those either. All I have is glue on the paint to show for it.
