I tried the other brands, including store brands, and liquid bottles. But I have to say the ease of use from a spray can is perfect. I have read reviews about the toxic fumes but let's face it, you are not supposed to be sticking your face in there and breathing away when you spray. For a chemical cleaner it smells okay. But I have been using this for decades and know that for those few seconds of each spraying, not to be breathing. Exhaling maybe, but not breathing. And then you can only spray for a few seconds anyway. And then you need to move to another section to spray. It definitely can clean up pretty quickly, but there's been many times I spray it late at night and clean the oven the next day - just depends if I have to use the oven first thing the next morning. Anyway, I also read a lot of reviews about the whites films inside there oven and won't come off. I don't know what kind of stove they have, but I have been using this stuff for a good 3 decades and it always comes off. Thing is, if you use water and rags and wipe it will be oven clean. If you are trying to dry rub it off, it will not work. And if you miss a spot, which I can easily do, it is dry and hard, but again. Water and wet rags and scrubbing/rubbing gets it right off and the oven looks brand new. You may want a small bowl or bucket near you so you don't get a flood in your oven. And have a couple drying towels, as well. This really is great stuff.

I had months' worth of build-up of grease and baked on food in my oven. I kept putting it off because I dreaded cleaning it. I finally stopped procrastinating and chose this EasyOff heavy duty. I have used EasyOff before and had a very lackluster experience. So, I was expecting a long, tedious task. Boy, was I wrong! I sprayed the oven and let sit a few hours because I had some other things to do. When I came back to clean it, the yuck literally just wiped away. No scrubbing at all! It even removed build-up on my oven door that I wasn't able to get off in previous cleanings. The only con is the fumes. So, wear a mask and make sure the area is well ventilated. I will be using this again.

My oven stays fairly clean (somehow) though it's used often and 10 yrs old. A problem occurred last week when I baked chocolate lava cake. The oozing chocolate went over the edge of the pan and landed on the bottom of the oven. A terrible burnt mess. Could NOT remove all of it with soap, scrubber pad, edge of sharp knife. Bought Easy Off. Only left it on for 10 min, wiped it off with a bit of arm strength and oven looks new.

Product ad suggested is is quick working on difficult situations. I found it took several applications and almost the whole can to clean a 13x10 spot in oven. I suggest rewording the ad.
