Miles Kimball Easy Twist Jar Opener
this is ideal, it uses no electricity or batteries, so it virtually costs nothing to use, and there is no need for replacement parts or upkeep. How much more energy efficient can you be. I wish more products were like this. Especially vacuum cleaners.

A must have
I had my first one almost ten years. This is a must have for someone with trouble opening jars. Its easy breezy opening. I love it. A great gift for a bridle shower among other kitchen goodies.

Not very effective
The contact surface is not 'grippy' enough, so you have to use a lot of force to keep it from slipping.
