On other reviews: The GARAGE review: All BS. 1) It doesn't need a 3-prong plug for safety. It's not carrying much power after the transformer. Adapter cords usually have 2 prong plugs. 2) Very hard to turn on? It has 3 barely-touch buttons. 3) Why would you need directions? It's simple AF. 4) It had to be plugged in for almost an hour before it would turn on? WTF are you talking about? It does not charge; it plugs in. Disregard this one and the other that says "After charging for hours light would not even come on." Having to wait and then getting blinded by the sudden light: What? The light comes on Immediately; you don't have to wait. And at the light level and frequency last used. Try setting it to Low/Warm before turning it off. Maybe cover most of your vision with the other hand. Made them sweat? It filters out UV light, so it doesn't heat your skin like sunlight. In rare cases, very bright light can overstimulate the nervous system and trigger the fight-or-flight response. Arrived inoperable/didn't last: Return it within 90 days. If you are worried, buy the $2-3 protection plan. This is worth the price I paid, $18.99. Highly recommended.
I've had similar desk lamps for years. This one is going to be more helpful in my future, because: 1) Other forms require change to the color temperature measuring time you are pressing %26 holding the temperature button - this one's measure only needs 1 finger tap and it toggles between the three color lights, fully. 2) It comes with its own dedicated plug %26 charger. My past issue was I would swap out USB-Cs used for this (to charge my phone quickly, for example), led to inconsistent use of it afterwards. It is also prettier and nicer than the "Amazon ones". Those mentioned are typically plain white: 1) The fake wood grain is more fashioned and makes it more decoration than just desk gadget 2) There is a small LCD screen added showing % of total screen brightness power used, %26 if you are using this feature, countdown on your timed setting. The common Amazon counterparts do not have either and leave you to guess how bright it can go (through, you guessed it, timed press %26 hold button power), and small LED lights representing different time amounts, without countdown.
My neurologist said many areas of the brain are affected by lack of sunlight. it's not always sunny, so I bought this device. i haven't used it long enough. I will be using this daily.
I had to come back north and get seriously yucky feeling when I can't get in the sun everyday and OMG within a couple of days my spirit was back. I put it next to my chair and immediately turn it on as soon as I sit down to read or watch the tube. I was ready to just leave for the 🌞 for a minute until I found out about this
I have used these lights for years. It really helps me to not get so depressed in the Winter. It seems to help me not need a nap in the afternoon. I sleep better at night as well. This one has a very cool feature that I love. This light displays the percent of brightness you have on a small led display. I love that it looks like it had a wood frame as well, it is plastic but looks like wood. These lights make me happy. Looks good, feels good, win-win!!
My doctor asked me to get a light box. I bought this one. I never read the instructions. It works for what I need it for. I just went the cheap route. Overall it's easy to use. Keep in mind I never read the instructions. There is no telling what this can do, once you read the directions. 🤣
I didn't give this a higher rating because it's been used. The led output window at the bottom is scratched but should have been covered with protective plastic. The buttons are difficult to engage. on the other hand it puts out a selection of light, the highest being very bright. The 3 modes are warm yellow 5500lux, warm white 6500lux and white 10000lux. It simply plugs into an outlet and a light comes on. The booklet has a pre-use light sensitivity test to determine if there are any treatment issues. No information about warranty.
It’s bring and probably does what it’s supposed to but the one I got it has a high pitch noise that is similar to the sound that emits from the dog deterrent devices. Very high pitched buzzing noise. And I can hear it and my dogs can definitely hear it, however my fiance can’t hear it. Not sure if it’s supposed to make this high piched noise
Could be user error on my part, but still, from description and reviews I expected to fairly easily be able to choose a sunrising in the morning, and in the evening to be able to turn the light on and choose sun setting in the evening. I read the instructions, and didn't find a "sun setting" setting, and the sun rising isn't as straight forward as I thought it would be. It's my own inability to work this out, I realize I want very basic, very straightforward buttons. on a positive note, I can manage the on off button, and the speedy quick blindingly bright percentage button, hahaha!
The button on the front so not work! Item turns on sometimes! However after 6 minutes of trying I finally gave up played with the plug everything sat it down walked away and it came on sat and used it for like 10 minutes got up the border morning tried it again! Same still would not come on after several minutes it finally came on and then went off 5 minutes later! Have not been able to get it to work again! Returning! Do I try another one?
