I have disliked the counters in my bathroom and kitchen for years. Unfortunately I cannot afford new countertops, not even laminate, and painting them using epoxy is beyond my skill set. So I bought this removable adhesive contact paper and did the bathroom counter. It turned out so good that I did the kitchen too! It was fairly easy, just requires precise measurements and taking your time. I'm not sure how it's going to hold up over time, but so far it's doing well. It's waterproof. I wipe it off when it gets wet and it looks AMAZING! So instead of spending thousands of dollars, it cost me $12.94 for 2 rolls of contact paper. I love the marble design because the seams don't show.
I love this stuff. I covered my windowsills with it and now they look like they marble. My dog likes to watch out the window in our rental and I didn't want him to scratch the sills and create damage. This sticky marble paper works great and can be replaced if my dog damages it. I highly recommend using this for whatever you want it's great and doesn't damage the surface you put it on.
I used this same contact paper on some metal cabinets and it looked amazing. This time I put it in my bathroom on the cabinets.
I have a TV table and side table that I covered. I also used it to line draws and shelves in my new place. This contact paper is so easy to use and very forgiving. You can peel back numerous times to reposition and smooth out wrinkles. If one end gets laid and started right, it lays down great, following the paper backing as it is pulled off underneath, with no or minimal wrinkling. It even adheres to corners well when helped with a blow dryer or heat gun.
I live in an older rental and my landlord does the bare minimum as fixing things up. She allows tenants to add their personal touch if they want to. This is very renter-friendly. Added before and after pictures. Sticks really well. Does tear a bit if you move something heavy across it. Had one spot when I put my microwave back. I repaired it no problem. I am just very happy it looks better. A coat of paint for the walls and it will make a huge difference.
Obsessed with this product! I started using to cover some imperfections in my toddlers table top and then couldn't stop there I loved the look so much! It makes the surface very easy to wipe down after spills or crafts. It takes a little patience when applying, I recommend mend using a flat edge scraper to smooth down as you slowly pull off paper to avoid bubbles. Other than that, great purchase for me and really personalized a basic piece of furniture! I also covered a desk for my daughter and desk for me but it only let me load 2 picks for this review.
I moved to a condo where the kitchen cabinets are very old. The home owner has no interest in upgrading them. Cabinets are made up of particle boards in 1975 or so and the particles are leaving the board structure now. So as a quick fix, I brushed the cabinets to remove the loose particles and pasted these papers. It looked much better. I have attached photos. hope it helps.
Easy to apply if gentle, prone to ripping if applied too aggressively. The material is a little thin but the adhesive is strong. I ordered the taupe color, it has a bit of a rosy, pink tint to it. I like it, it works well with my house. But someone who is looking for more of a brown/neutral base may not like it. Overall it is a great value for the price.
We used it for a slap together low budget project expecting the worst, however it turned out beautiful and even stuck to presswood, when we were sure it wouldn't! Our project turned out great! However, it does tear easily, so be sure to use gentle hands when working with it. Other than that, no complaints!
I've used contact paper before and was really happy with the result but not this time . It was so thin I had to put 3 layers because it was so transparent .and don't let me get started on the color. It was not the color it said so dull and didn't stick very well I had to put additional glue
