The was bought to put in a doorway as a method to introduce the adult cats to the kitten. I did hear a few swear words from the husband who assembled it, and he's pretty good at assembling, so expect a little bit of hassle. The gate can be set as a semi permanent structure in the doorway which is handy, as I thought we'd have to move it there every time we needed it. Nope it can be in place and still use the actual room door. The gate door will swing in or out. The gate is strong, well built and quality. Tall enough where even the most clever of cats can't leap and certainly can't climb. The bars are close enough there will be no sneaking though for escaping. This was a good purchase and the only gate that will actually do what we need it to do.
So far so good! I love it I would give it five stars, but I haven't had it very long and not sure how long it will last with the latching mechanism hopefully for as long as I need it! I love the fact I can move it from one doorway to another when needed. Definitely worth what I paid.
Was SUPER easy to install and a perfect height so my kitties can't jump over it!! Love the easy door too!
