They work pretty well for me. The NiMH ones weren't powerful enough for my electronic front door lock (it complained low battery all the time, and was struggling to operate the motor). These are much better. I think I had one bad battery out of the dozen or so I have bought, I just kind of expect that to happen. Way more convenient (don't have to keep buying new ones, always on hand) and cheaper than buying normal batteries, but probably don't quite have energy capacity of a high quality old school AA. Still really happy with them.

The constant voltage in these cells is really handy for motorized things like smart locks, fans, or any other analog circuit. Disregard the reviews saying these don't recharge because they do just fine, but they do require a special charger. Don't stick them in a NiMH charger or regular li-ion charger they won't work and might damage the cells. Overall for general purpose use you want to go for the white NiMH cells which actually hold more energy at a lower 1.2 volts and cost a lot less. However for intermittent loads where voltage is important these are great.

Some "critical" electronics such as thermometers will not function using typical 1.2V rechargeable batteries...the EBL 1.5V lithium rechargeables solve this problem!

Have been using both EBL AA cells for several months now without problems. They consistently charge to > 1.53V, hold their charge well and deliver it when needed. Highly recommended ⚡

Buy regular Lithium because these do not work well

Ronald April 2, 2024

I have several clocks, remotes and sensors around my house that I like using Lithium batteries in. Lithium batteries are expensive and the cost keeps going up. I thought these rechargeable batteries would be great for my needs and save me some money in the long run. Boy was I wrong. You charge these over several hours--then a few weeks go by before I need to use the item I put the batteries are in. They are dead. After a week or 2 the remotes stop working. My clocks are dead in less than a month. A regular Lithium battery sometimes lasts several years. These rechargeable ones do not hold a charge!
