Excellent set of adjustable dumbbells at an excellent price. The adjustments are super simple and have a solid click to ensure everything is locked into place. The included stand is pretty much perfect and a great bonus. I previously had a similar set that was several hundred dollars more, and the stand was an additional $100 extra. This Echelon set is nothing short of a super purchase.
A little set up and easy instructions to build
I'm very happy with the quality of the product. My one concern was the ease of the switching mechanism but it works great. No problems. I highly recommend.
These weights are great! My husband and I can quickly and easily change the weights and do a home workout together. I haven't tried the app yet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The range of weight and the versatility of use that these dumbbells offer is great for all fitness levels. Not to mention it fits well in an apartment or small home without taking up the space that an entire set of fixed dumbbells takes up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Echelon Adjustable Dumbbells were exactly what I needed to improve my strength training. They are incredibly well designed, and feel natural to use. The stand allows me to keep organized and adds a nice touch that most other options on the market do not have. Adjusting the weights is seamless and easy. Would strongly recommend these regardless if you are a complete beginner or an experienced weight user.
I bought these to replace a Bowflex set that I just couldn't fix. There are a few things that are less than ideal, but overall a great set for a good price. If you don't turn the dial just right, a plate can fall off; it could cause an injury, so be careful. They feel a little unbalanced, but that just makes me be more intentional about having good form, so not necessarily a bad thing. The jump in weight from 7 pounds to 13 pounds is a bit much. There is so much more that's good: The stand is a huge plus! They have a good weight range so that I won't outgrow them anytime soon, or even ever. The tablet holder is ideally positioned so that I can watch videos to make sure I am doing the exercises correctly. I would absolutely buy them again.
The handle joints, as well as the gears, are made of plastic. The plastic is simply too weak to carry this much weight. Both handles broke at the same place. I treated them like they were porcelain. Never dropped. I really appreciate Sam's taking my set back and giving me a refund.
I was gentle with them but after about 10 workouts, the pin fell out and a weight plate fell. It will not go back together. Waste of money, cheaply made.
JUNK! I did so much research and reviews on this particular brand were fairly good. Bought for my husband for Christmas. Mechanism broke and would not pick up one of the plates. I assume because made of plastic so thought just a bad set. So sams let me replace them and the other set same thing. Get the good old fashioned weights that are lifetime. Save your money and time.
