The very best purchase I have ever made for myself. I've always been very active with running and hitting the gym a few times a week. I started having joint pain making running painful, and the pandemic took the gym away. I won't go so far as to say it was a blessing, but each of those factors pushed me towards buying a spin bike. After a lot of research, it was clear Echelon was the right call. It works just as well as the other brands, but the app and trainers are superior, PLUS the 'always on' availability of encore and on demand classes to meet any class focus. I am 100% satisfied and thrilled to be part of this amazing echafam!
I absolutely love my echelon bike, It is truly a smooth ride, comfortable, excellent sound, great instructors, I have nothing negative to say about it. I was originally going to buy the peloton bike but after lots of reviews and comparison I decided to purchase the echelon and I am so glad. I tell all my friends to invest in the echelon
I switched the pedals on my sport to these ones and so far I have no regrets. Did I notice an improvement in my output? No, but I noticed an increase in my pedalling efficiency. I pull and push the pedals better and I am not straining as much as I used to when I was using the cages. I also stopped experiencing numbness in my feet when I ride. Sport owners, it might feel like an additional expense, but it is worth it!
I ordered these because the Echelon sport bike I purchased didn't have clips. The pedals were easy to swap out and it's very easy to clip in and out. After a few weeks they were squeaking when I rode standing up, but a little WD40 on the nuts where the pedal is attached did the trick
I have been reconnected this year with echelon. There is a great quote "Complainers tend not to get much done". 2022 is the year for my health and I have been focused on accomplishing my goals with ACTION! I have discovered wonderful Trainers and classes that keep me engaged and focused. I am still discovering new classes on fit pass and navigating my way through the menu. I would suggest easy access tutorials on each class. I have spent a lot of time through trial and error on searching for workouts. It would also be beneficial to have a screen that rotated so you could stay engaged with the instructor. Thanks for listening and "Positive Vibes, For Positive Rides"! Take Care. Tod
The right pedal has always "clicked" since we installed it and I don't know how to fix it. But my cycle shoe stays in. Just SUPER annoying. I also don't know why every bike doesn't come standard with these, as I now have a pair of useless pedals with toe cages just sitting around now.
The toe cages are fine, but I bought new shoes & SPD clips & they are so tight that I have problems releasing from the pedals. I have released the tension on them, but they are still extremely tight This is a replacement pedal as the first ones when I tried to release the tension - the screw came out & I was unable to fix it My recommendation would be to find a better clip system
I only had these pedals for about 8 months until they broke. The right pedal was shedding metal shards and one of the crew heads even fell off. I wish that I was able to buy these pedals somewhere else but haven't been able to find any. I purchased these out of necessity for compatibility with my shoes not out of volition.
I have very mixed feelings on my echelon experience. I love cycling and all the benefits you get after a ride. The app itself is great, interactive and I love the one-on-one feel. Some of the music choices could be better but overall it's an amazing experience. Now the bike itself!.hmmm. I've had so many issues with the pedals, it was only 4 months and my left pedal was dislocated beyond repair. I think the company should offer a virtual building the bike session (especially during the pandemic I think they missed the mark) but I followed instructions and still had a huge issue. Today we're at month 9 and the pedal on the same side does a weird ticking sound and I've done all I could. This isn't a cheap purchase but it's also not that big competitor price either. So keep that in mind. At the end of the day I'm here and enjoying my rides until the wheels fall off.
I had shoes with Look for an old road bike and had to by new shoes and cleats. I think sod is mor common, but could you sell pedals with the other cleats as an upgrade? Then you need to provide the tool to change the pedals if you go there. I think it is important to have the toe cages because to many the bike is a huge investment and having to purchase shoes and cleats costs more AND you might have people in the same household who want to try the bike and the tie clips allow this.
