Echo 16In 56V Eforce String Trimmer Brushless Motor (Bare Tool)

My former gas powered weed eater and blower are both Echo products. My blower still works, but I decided to replace both units with battery powered ones. Being made in America was important to me. The Echo name, know for quality, was very important to me. I also like the Speed 400 cutting string loading system is very convenient. I highly recommend this equipment for home use.

It has very good power, its quiet compared to a gas edger and though I have not use the attachments I enjoy that it can be used for other things other than a weed eater. I live in almost a half acre and I was able to do my yard and still have power to keep going I am really happy with this echo product.

I've had several Echo Brand weed eater products and not having to pull that starter cord makes it worth it. Quiet and efficient. Gets the job done. Battery power is the way to go.

have used several edge trimmers through the years. I've been impressed with this one. Light weight quick charge and for an average house good battery life

I am very satisfied with this grass trimmer. I love the three speeds--which, in my experience, saves line from breaking when used on concrete or fencing surfaces. Very controllable, easy to load new string on to, and comfortable to use. My only wish is the battery being a bit larger. I have to recharge before finishing my (large) yard. Using the heaviest string, I have cut the lawn three times and still have not gone through the first 20' loading. My previous trimmer was limited to .080 string and it use far more. It was a bit pricier than I really wanted to pay, but worth every penny.

We were reluctant to buy a battery operated trimmer and wondered if the battery charge time would be long enough to do all our yard at one time. We found it was more than long enough and were actually able to do the yard twice prior to recharging. We also found it MUCH EASIER to use this trimmer and found we do a better job with it than our gas powered trimmer. I'm an older person and had no trouble handling it. We really like it and recommend it.

The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star is the reaction time of the throttle trigger. When said trigger is squeezed, there is about a one second lag beforethe unit powers on and starts to spin. Once going, the unit is very quiet and easy to control, and has thus far operated without flaw. If this delay in activation of power is an engineered feature (perhaps a safety feature?), then it works as intended and my review will be amended to 5 stars. So far this has exceded expectations!

Perfect! I exactly what I needed for my yard. Simple to use, plenty of power and battery life is great, no issues at all with this trimmer! Much better than the one I replaced. Saves me about 15 minutes on my yard work because it just works….I don't have to fight the cord feed or go over areas more than once. Love this and also have the blower and chainsaw. Simple great products.

This weed trimmer does a good job. I rated it 4 stars because it needs to be recharged after about 2 hours of use. I think the brochure stated 15 hours. I purchased it to remove foxtails from an additional lot I bought with my house, but have since needed a lawnmower. On high speed, it ran about 2 hours before needing to go back on the charger, but it charges quick and I did other tasks inbetween charge times. I think now that I have a mower, the trimmer will be used to get hard to reach places and around trees. I'm glad I purchased it, it will be helpful to have on hand. I have not yet tried to replace the string and am hoping it is easy enough to figure out. The tapping feature to lengthen the string while in use worked very well and I always had the right length while cutting.

This trimmer would get 5stars if it came with a 5 AH battery. Otherwise this trimmer is a 5 star wonder. Highly recommended
