I only have run two tanks of gas so far and as I expected this will be a great little cutter. It is replacing an Echo 3400 that worked great for 25 years until I accidentally put a hole in the gas tank. Which means I will be about 99 years old and expect this saw will still be running great.
Before this purchase I was running a 54cc Mac 10-10, and a 29cc pole saw. I needed something in-between / more handy for smaller bucking jobs and storm cleanup that wouldnt wear me out like old yellow does. This saw is VERY light, and very easy to start and handle. My wife (scared of the Mac) is thrilled with it. I used it to climb & top a 60' tree recently. Very effective - I was pleasantly surprised by its power. Due to its narrow kerf, it performs like a larger saw would but with less weight. I used it for all but the bottom 15 feet of the trunk, though it could've handled that too. (I just wanted an excuse to let the neighborhood know my 10-10 still runs LOL) Great value, thanks Echo!
Good price for saw, about 3 pulls to start, good on gas, chain is also good been cutting oak about a cord stii very sharp
Been looking to buy something like this for a while. And this puppy doesn't disappoint. It's perfect for around the house and property.
I have a echo CS310 14 " for almost 3 years. Starts real easily. Great chainsaw. Had to bring it to be repaired. It would bog down when cutting. Turns out it needed a new carb. !! The repair cost was very close to what a new cs3410 16" is. So I purchased a new one. Right away I noticed it was harder to start. It also seemed like you had to feather the throttle to get it to rev. Kinda seemed like the brake was one. Ran several tanks of fuel and oil. Thought maybe it needed a break in ??? It's nowadays the repair shop... I purchased a new one because of the first one was so good. Time will tell. Hopefully it's under warranty
After much review I bought this saw in November 2025 and just used it yesterday. I needed it to cut my shrubbery and a fallen limb, but the chain came off twice and I flooded it. Flooding it was my fault but the chain was a struggle and when it ran it worked great. I have to take it to my dealer and I only use Red Armor fuel and Echo bar oil.
Couldn't get it to start like other 2 strokes. I watched a youtube video. Echo should include the following in Echo's instructions: put it on choke and pull until you hear it pop 1-2 extra times. (That's it!) push the choke in and it will fire up. Almost every other 2 stroke runs 3-5 secs and then dies if you don't switch from being choked to half/no choke. This doesn't even turn over on choke, it just “pops” a bit extra. Other tuan that, once it's running, it's a solid little saw
so far, it's done a great job cutting using it for the Ice storm 2025 very light to carry around it cuts good size trees that have fallen starts up with a couple of pulls
Purchased this due to the many years of experience with Echo products. Engine seems solid but is somewhat hard to start. It uses quite a bit more gas than my Echo trimmer and Echo blower. It also uses a lot of chain oil in a short period. During the first 2 hours of use the chain brake locked. It required taking it apart and reinstalling it. So now I do not use it. The chain that comes with it gets dull after three hours. Overall I enjoy using it and it gets the job done.
never did get to use cutting right out of box bar oil when filled started to leak and could not get it to stay running had to bring it into a shop seems like being brand new it would work
