Echo CS-501P 50.2 cc X Series Performance Cutting System Chain Saw 20"

Best value overall, echo doesn't disappoint. I'm more of a diy person, I prefer to buy quality tools vs constantly replacing cheaper tools. Since I won't be using my chainsaw daily I purchased this CS-501P with 20" chain because I wanted something that will start every time regardless of use and echo is it for me. Echo makes quality equipment, I've never had issues. Can't go wrong with echo and you can't beat this cs501p. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I have owned the chainsaw for a couple of weeks, so I can't comment on the long term reliability or performance of the saw. But, it has performed very well in the short amount of time that the saw has been used. It is much easier to start than my other chainsaw and performs just as well.

Great saw, we use it commercially and love it. Lightweight but still strong enough to run a 20" bar, works great on the ground and as a medium sized climbing saw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New saw has about 3 hours on and runs like a champ. Inital startup was choke on, 3 cranks, cut choke off started on the fourth pull. Cold start now choke on, 3 cranks starts, warm start no choke first crank! The saw seems to have plenty of power for my use, I was cutting 12 to 16" oak without issue, it is light weight and easy to handle! Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had my saw a short time but so far I am very happy with it! Great power to weight ratio! I have many Echo products weedeater, blower, stick edger I believe the cost and dependability cannot be beat!

I bought this saw because I have many pieces of Echo equipment and they all are superior to the competition. I a we 73 years old and I need the decompressor to be able to start a saw. It is a step above most other saws even other Echo saws like the 490. If you never have owned echo equipment you are missing out. I am fortunate to have a local shop that services what he sells. Prompt service and a knowledge of his products. A suggestion, if you buy and echo products go for the. X line, they are well worth the extra money.

So, to begin with , this is my first Echo product of any kind, I have ever purchased, so I did a lot of research before purchasing this. I have owned many chainsaws however, ranging the gamut from cheapies to higher end Stihls. I have had this saw about 3 weeks or so, and so far, this is one of the nicest saws I've ever owned. It starts easily, and when warmed up, re-starts consistently with 1 pull. Really well balanced, (I opted for the 20" bar ) ,light weight, and man does this thing scream. For it's size, it seemed to have no trouble at all going through the 12-16" diameter trees I was cutting up. A lot of power in a little package. Also as a side note... I had a shipping issue which was no fault of Echo what so ever, but the customer service rep. got my information and more than made things right ,quickly and at no charge to me, which really impressed me. If you're in the market for a 50cc size saw, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better bang for your buck than this one.

Bought this to work on my hunting property for clearing trails and cutting firewood. Great saw. Captured bar nuts are nice. As well as having 2 of them for secure tensioning of the chain instead of the one nut that most cheap saws have now. Starts great. Idles great. Nice power. Can do everything from big to small. I got the 20” bar and happy I did. Nice lightweight saw that is very well balanced. I did a decent amount of research and came to this saw. Very happy. And I'd definitely recommend.

I bought this saw a couple weeks ago and have been using it to cut up some huge dead standing oak trees and a very large maple tree. It has great power for such a light saw. And tough too due to my overlooking the situation a 12 foot section of oak about 14 inches across rolled down off of the top of the tree help about 4 feet knocked the saw out of my handed and knocked me a few feet away. The saw didn't even have a scratch on it. It runs flawlessly it's easy to start and I'm sure it will be around a while like my other Echo equipment. They are just great machines to work with. I wouldn't trade for any other brand.

I had an echo 4400 chainsaw for almost 20 years. In that time I felled and cut up many large trees. It always started and supplied the power I needed. When it started to fail me I felt it owed me nothing. I immediately ordered a 501p. The 501p is just like the 4400 only more powerful with lots of nice new features. Wow! Does it cut! You can't go wrong with this saw. I also have an Echo 355t which is a very powerful top handled saw for in tree use. I love echo saws. 5 year warranty, you can buy them online, you can work on them yourself and you can buy parts online, unlike Stihl where you have to buy from a dealer and go to a dealer to buy their overpriced parts. YAY! ECHO!!
