Looking to buy a new handheld blower for awhile now i had purchased a lower priced model thinking i needed to save some money however the cheaper model lasted like one day only and wouldnt start the second day. and so i took that back and picked up the Echo PB2520 it is expensive but i would rather have quality and reliability over a cheaper price. one thing i noticed about the Echo is it started on the second pull and same thing when i went to use it the following day.
I made a mistake on my previous review. I had installed the leaf blower nozzle backwards and the end kept blowing off. I read another review that someone had written describing the problem several people have done the installation incorrectly. The nozzle should designed to only fit one way if possible. This was my only complaint I have had 2 Echo hand held blowers each of them ran well for 15+ years.
Great machine! Plenty of power to blow pine needles and leaves. Light enough to manage even for this 80 year old with a damaged rotator cuff on my right shoulder. Easy to start also.
The PB-2520 so for has been a great blower. It starts easy and moves the leaves easily. I purchased this model because I use it around the house and it has high ratings on cfm’s and wind speed. I use the red armor premix and it runs great on it. Before I purchased this gas blower I used a corded electric blower which worked great but I didn’t like being tied to the cord.
I love my new Echo PB-2520 Blower. It is a lot blower a lot harder that my old Echo Blower that I had for ten years. I highly recommend Echo products
Don't expect this leaf blower to be as powerful as the backpack style blowers but for small to medium size properties it should do the job. I have an 80x120 yard with a lot of oak trees just off my property. I had an electric blower that was just slightly faster than a rake. So when it bit the dust I decided to upgrade with something (within my budget) more powerful. I'm very happy with how powerful Echo blower is. Was able to move deep piles of leaves and did it twice as fast as my old electric blower. Highly recommend.
So far this blower has met all expectations. Easy to start and light weight makes it easy to use. I had contemplated a more powerful blower but this works great for my needs .In mulch beds, it has the power to move leaves but it’s not so powerful that it lifts up and disrupts all the mulch….so…I think a more powerful blower would have been a waste in the mulch beds. Overall works great for the price ..and made it a little easier to justify the extra cost of the gutter cleaning kit …will be trying that out next
After my purchase of the PB-2520, I also purchased their Red Armor oil. Mixed it 50:1. The blower started on the second pull, let it warm up a bit before giving it throttle. I could tell right off it wasn't running right, but I thought...it's the factory carb settings. I continued the clear off everything after mowing. This blower just didn't seem like it was running right. I pulled the plug and it was Snow White! It had been set like that from the factory I assume. The carb was running super lean. I used my 12-year old Hitachi to finish. Looking at taking it to a dealer to get adjusted before I use it again.
I love this leaf blower the only reason I didn't give it five stars it's because of the extension tube falling off but a little duct tape and problem solved
The leaf blower has power but there are a few things that could use improvements : 1. The extension nozzle keeps popping off when I use the blower. It doesn't latch on properly. I had to take it off completely. 2. The blower is not well balanced and it requires extra effort to keep the nozzle pointing towards the ground. 3. Compared to my previous blowers, this one seems to use more fuel.
