This definitely kills/repels wasps and any other gnat or mosquito that flies into it. The oil stays where you spray it and it will kill bugs that land in it (which can leave unsightly dead bugs, but better than annoying live ones). MUCH fewer wasps on our porch now. The only con is that there isn't much in a bottle, so you are better off buying a couple of bottles so that you can re-treat when it wears off. Very happy with it and we will be buying more.
I am on oxygen 24/7 and most wasp and bug sprays have a Very strong odor so I got some of this I only got to use it on 1 wasp since the weather turned cold but it killed it and there wasn't any scent. To whoever invented THANK YOU.
That one star review makes no sense. Ignore it. I use this on wasp and hornet nests and it is very effective. If the insect is not hit directly with it, but senses it, it flies away super fast! If it is hit with it fully, it does die. If you soak the nest, they never come back. Keep in mind, with European paper wasps (normally not a stinger like hornets unless provoked or trapped, but the scary looking one that hovers around you), which commonly make nests around decks, eves, and in sheds, they will come back year after year to an area to build. So you have to be diligent for some years, spraying all the areas where there are nests appearing. We eliminated them from all around our deck but they just moved to inside an old AC unit in the wall. So now we have to treat that and check that every spring and summer. The EcoSmart flying insect killer spray also works well in a pinch. The minute it hits the bug, they fly away never to return. I sprayed some shutters the wasps like with it and they never came back.
I used this on 2 wasp nests under my trailer this morning. The wasps either died on contact or within 1 minute. Tonight will be a bad night for the wasps in the garden gate who attack anyone going through their gate. I've found that when killing wasps, it's best to wait until after dark when their all in the nest, the get 'em all in one shot. Buy this product.
I used Ecosmart organics the entire year and am very happy with the products. I have erradicated about 6 Wasp nests around my house and they were dead on contact. Highly recommend this product, and it's safe for my family.
I used this spray on European Hornets that were swarming way too close to my front door. It took several doses, but it worked like a charm. And I didn't have to walk through a chemical cloud to get back into my house! I had used a typical "extra strength" wasp and hornet spray first and I think I heard the EHs laughing at me. I got the last laugh when I used the EcoSmart. When the professional pest control technician showed up the next day, he told me how hardy these particular hornets are and that none of the off-the-shelf sprays will work on them. Then I pulled my empty can of EcoSmart out, showed it to him and told him, "This one did, and it's not even chemicals!" He was as surprised as I was happy. Now, I will admit that they didn't all immediately drop from the sky, and some even hung on until morning. But they did all eventually die. I could not be happier with this product.
It seems to work as well as the more toxic products. It knocked down wasps and wood bees, both of which I've had so many problems with in the past.
It didnt do its job to do what I needed it for
This product does not work as advertised. It does not kill on contact or at all for that matter.
