This is our second Ecobee Smart Thermostat, our first was no longer supported by Ecobee! By far our new thermostat completely exceeds the first iteration of Smart Thermostats made by Ecobee! If you don't own an Ecobee, I'd recommend you seriously consider getting one or upgrading your current if it's older than ten years!
The Ecobee Premium Thermostat stands out as a top-tier smart thermostat that combines sleek design with impressive functionality. Its intuitive touchscreen interface is user-friendly, allowing for easy adjustments and access to various features. Installation is straightforward, with comprehensive guides available for both DIY enthusiasts and those who prefer professional assistance. Overall, the Ecobee Premium Thermostat is a valuable investment for anyone looking to enhance their home's comfort while also being eco-friendly. Its combination of smart features, design aesthetics, and energy-saving capabilities make it a worthy option in the smart home market.
I've had this Ecobee Pro for about two weeks now and it is working great. It has more features and options available to me than my old nest GEN two thermostat. I highly recommend this thermostat.
Big beautiful numbers and colorful display. It's very easy to read and easy to program, connect to your phone and easy to connect to your utility service. It's super easy to personalize to your home and to your preferences.
A bit of a learning curve from traditional thermostats, but easy to program . Their customer service is very helpful on any questions and are quick to resolve any issues. It will take a few months to determine our cost savings on electric, however, the house feels like the temperature is more evenly distributed in the rooms . A plus , to operate remotely from your phone . So far we love it!
Had this unit 2 weeks. It's been below 25 degrees with wind chills single digits to below zero. My house is nice and toasty
This is a great product. Easy set-up and very energy efficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for 2 days. I originally purchased a Honeywell T9 which I had for 4 days. I returned the T9 because it was short cycling my AC. After researching, I realized that the differential on the T9 was too small and could not be changed. To complicate matters, the room temperature on the T9 would round to the set temperature when it was within 1.5 degrees. Enter the ecobee. The display temperature is accurate. I can see what the temp is when the cycle starts and stops. I was capable of setting both a heat and cool differential. I also can set a time to run the fan after the cycle to dissipate the air in my ducts. Lastly, you can monitor the system run times. The HomeIQ portal provides all the data you need. Needless to say, ecobee is the one to beat. I recommend this highly. It was a breeze to install. It even includes a wall plate to cover any existing holes. This is a 5 star piece of equipment.
This product was clearly a returned or refurbished item but sold as new. It was missing multiple parts which completely ruined the attempted installation. I now have to attempt to return the whole mess.
Do not purchase if you need to control multiple zones in your house (i.e., if you have more than one thermostat but only one cooling/heating unit). Our Nest thermostats needed to be upgraded as they were losing smart functionality. After researching, we replaced them with Ecobee (3 zones in the house). The entire house is now either too cold or too hot all day and night. The room temperature never reaches the temperature we set it to be at. To get the upstairs to cool, the main floor and basement temperature must be set at much cooler than desired. We never had this issue with our old Nest thermostats which accurately heated/cooled to set temperatures. Additionally, we purchased Ecobee premium for the sensors but to try to regulate multiple zones, we had to turn off the sensors as any unoccupied room caused heating/cooling to stop working in the other zones. In a prior house (single thermostat without zones), the Ecobee worked great which is why we purchased. Unfortunately, Ecobee does not regulate temperature well if you have more than one thermostat zone in your house. We wish we had not spent a significant amount for three Ecobee premium thermostats that we will soon be replacing with something else.
