Love these little things. Always knows what room I am in and makes sure I am comfortable. So small the they do not take away from decor. It seems that my AC runs less also but haven't had them long enough to know for sure.
Excellent sensors..simple.. plug in battery, pair with thermostat and off you go. sensors detect motion and works well sensing temperature in different rooms
Since these can detect motion, they allow the Ecobee thermostat to know what to room people are in, so the set temp is where they are. Minimum heat is maintained in the coolest room, if your in there, which does mean the warmer room, no one is in, will be a bit warmer. You can help that by closing or partially closing the vent in the room your leaving for a while.
It's awesome that you can bring every room into the "smart" ecosystem without spending and arm and a leg.
These sensors connected to my ecobee 3 thermostat with no issues. I like the detachable magnetic foot. High quality product which rarely goes on sale. Recommended!
unit was very easy to set up. I am using this in my bedroom for a more comforable sleep due to the fact my bedroom is the warmist in the house. So when selecting sleep mode this smart sensor takes over the main a/c control temperature. Works very well.
These sensors are really small and very nice. Excellent design and work very well with the Ecobee thermostat.
It’s a good sensor to automate your home hvac so you don’t have too cold or hot spots.
So I got a two pack of ecobee sensors yesterday, it is a good idea but don't work the best as it averages out the temperatures and prioritizes the room you are in. So as I was downstairs it was warmer and the heat did not kick in making the temperatures upstairs drop slightly but more in my room as no heat was running. I usually keep my heat at 21.5 but the temperature in my room was 20, so when occupied the furnace had to run long and hard to get it up to 21.5. As I prioritize that room it keep that room at 21.5 while the rest of the house was hot. But as it averages out on the main thermostat it will read a wrong, 21 as you can see. I had my other thermostat above and it was 24 degrees.. while in my room was 22 because it overshot. Don't recommend them. The ecobee thermostat itself is great with a proper set schedule, do not use these sensors.
Could not pair with ecobee3 lite thermostat. Tried everything I could think of or google before giving up and returning them. I am guessing that these were about $10 less than other sellers because they are an older model with a pry off back instead of the current model with push and twist lock back. Wasted 2 hours trying to get them to pair, then over an hour to do the return - store opened at 6 am, got there at 7 am, but customer service did not open until 8 am. This is probably my last Walmart purchase…
