Don't pay the ridiculous prices a mechanic or dealership will charge. Name brands are often overrated and over priced (kind of like iphones) Air filters are easy to replace for the fraction of the cost and time you will be charged. Anyone can easily change the filters in 5 minutes. Change them often for improved air flow.
Ecogard air filter was a perfect fit for my Equinox seems like it was made well two stage filter tough fiber on bottom a well made I'll buy another later on when needed
During a recent oil change on our 2018 Chevy Equinox, a Tech showed my spouse the engine air filter and recommended it be replaced. She didn't take the bait but mentioned it to me later. I ordered this air filter which was much less expensive than the competition. Home delivered (free) the next day. I opened the hood removed 4 screws from the air filter cover, took out the old filter and replaced it with this filter. It fit perfectly. Replaced the 4 screws, closed the hood and chocked up a $30 savings.
