The pages are smooth and thick enough that pens don't bleed through easily. There was no strong smell when I opened it, and the size is perfect for daily notes, journaling, or planning. This journal with the adorable little chenille balloon dog helps me stay on track while looking totally cute!! This is printed with soy based ink and has approximately 120 pages that are double sided. I adore that this company uses recycled paper and packaging. They also are socially responsible and give back to reforestation efforts. They have several journal styles to choose from, so there is something for everyone!!

I also like the glitter detailing around the balloon dog and the balloon dog is a little fuzzy and 3D which is cute. The quality stands out the most to me, the covers feel very thick and sturdy and the paper is really nice. This journal is also the perfect size to slip into any bag. Overall I really recommend this journal.

The journal itself is a good size for taking it on the go in a tote or a bag. The paper is very nice and doesn't have any date markers so you can format your entries however you want. It seems very durable and well bound, I can see myself using it in many ways.
