This is out a second machine from this company. The first one was just a crashed ice machine and we absolutely loved it. When I saw that the ball ice machine was available, I decided to give it a try. Delivery was super quick and set up was a breeze. Love, the fact that the machine comes with everything you need, including water tester. It took only around 25 to 30 minutes for a for the first ice balls to come out. We use bottled water for all of our ice machines and the ice comes out super clear. Machine is super easy to use and we’re looking forward to keep using it during our parties. I highly recommend this product for anybody that likes chilled drinks.
We’ve been using the Ecozy Chillio 2.1” Clear Ice Ball Maker consistently since the day we received it, and overall we are very impressed. The ice production is excellent, and the quality of the clear ice balls is much better than we expected. The larger ice balls are great for drinks because they melt much slower than regular ice, which keeps drinks cold without watering them down quickly. Another thing we really like is how quiet the machine is compared to another ice maker we own. Since this machine runs 24/7 in our home, the lower noise level makes a noticeable difference. The narrower design is also a big plus because it takes up less countertop space. We did have an issue with our first machine (model IM-NS451B not this model ), but after contacting customer service and going through troubleshooting, they quickly determined that a replacement was needed. The customer service experience was excellent, and the replacement machine has been working perfectly ever since. Overall, we are very happy with this ice maker and would definitely recommend it.
So far, I really enjoy this product and am getting good use of it. We use this ice maker every day and it hasn’t been put away since I turned it on the first time. We checked the water from our tap and fridge as well as the ice maker ice with the TDS meter that came with the machine, and it was clear that even our fridge ice was not clean as it should be. Being able to make ice with the filtered water we have is a huge benefit. What makes this ice better is that because of the shape, it melts significantly slower. It’s easy to store inside the provided silicone sections and drop into our water bottles. I’m truly very pleased with this product so far, and I was not expecting this level of usefulness from it.
This ice ball maker looks sleek and premium, and it makes impressively clear round ice that’s perfect for whiskey and cocktails. The compact size is great for a home bar and doesn’t take up too much counter space. I like the timer feature because it makes the machine easier to use and more convenient. It produces a good amount of ice for personal use or small gatherings. Overall, it’s stylish, practical, and a fun upgrade for anyone who enjoys quality drinks at home.
Countertop user. This ice machine consistently produces three crystal clear balls without hairline fissures every 35 minutes or so IF I carefully use it as follows: 1) maintain near max water level; 2) add thawed previously frozen zero TDS (total dissolved solids) filtered water ONLY immediately after removing the 3 balls to store the balls in your freezer for hardening. The balls will look gorgeous while chilling your cocktail glass or punch for hours without dilution. Same procedure with 0 TDS filtered water (not previously frozen) creates equally beautiful balls that display fissures reminiscent of geodes or swarkowski crystals. These anneal in your freezer, but not always completely. City tap water and refrigerator filtered water produce solid balls with a clear top half and cloudy bottome half. All of these balls have a small flask like hole, which I have yet to explore (maybe hard freeze/add an edible pearl when I put them in y freezer). The ice maker is intuitively easy to use. Machine Display indicates: Ice bein made, please add water, ice balls ready. Use your watch and listen cues that balls are ready as display does not have a timer. Separate cleaning cycle as easy as adding water. Ice maker need intermittent attention as accidentally full bin will freeze balls into one big lump (how I learned that melted 0 TDS water is an improvement over 0 TDS). I store my ice balls in evacuated sous vide bags that stack in my freezer. Ice maker is ultra quiet.
My husband loved his new ice maker, wonderful for cocktails and so much more! The sphere ice cubes melt slowly adding additional enjoyment for parties!
I grabbed this Ecozy Chillio 2.4" Crystal Clear Ice Ball Maker from Walmart a couple weeks back and man, it’s been a solid addition to the kitchen. The ice balls come out crystal clear thanks to that CrystalFlux tech – no cloudy junk at all. They’re a good 2.4 inches, fit perfect in my whiskey glasses and tumblers, and they melt real slow so my drinks stay cold without watering down. Huge upgrade from regular ice cubes. It’s not too big, fits on the counter just fine. Super easy to use – fill it with water, hit the button, and it makes one ball every 40 minutes. I set the 8-hour timer before going to work and come home to a nice batch. Can do up to 32 balls in a day, which is plenty for us. The self-cleaning feature is really handy too. Just push a button and it cleans itself – no messing around taking it apart. It runs pretty quiet, looks nice and modern, and you can see the ice forming through the window. I use filtered water and it turns out great every time. It also came with a TDS Tester. If you like good drinks at home or entertain some, this thing is worth it. No complaints here – solid buy from Walmart. Highly recommend! 🍸❄️
This is a great gadget for entertaining and takes up minimal space. I got this ice maker because I like to host, especially on my sailboat that only has a small galley kitchen with a fridge and no freezer. The ice balls are perfect for drinks and can last through a few refills because they're large enough that they don't melt right away. In the box, there is a special device to measure the clarity of the water and the instructions say that water with less minerals will produce clearer ice. I tried both the very pure distilled water and regular filtered water, both produced crystal clear balls. The box contained two other convenient items I did not know to expect but was grateful for. Tongs to grab the ice, and also silicone molds to store up to 4 of them without damage.
Work really well I am very pleased with this machine, it make a nice-size sphere of ice and does so pretty quickly. I turn it on in the morning and in a few hours it makes a bin-full of ice spheres, a good value for the price. Size is nice in a cocktail, if you are looking for clear ice use distiller or filter water would be good enough Con`s it doesn`t keep the ice sphere cold if you leave it in the machine it will melt down It`s a small basket where the ice is held
This product had a fairly simple set up, although it does take up quite a bit of space so you might want to keep that in mind if ordering online and when arranging your counter space. I have had a similar Ecozy ice maker that could connect to the WiFi which was very nice and although this particular product does not have that feature does not take away any of the quality. You can connect directly to the water line to get around some of the cumbersomeness of the front load option and I would recommend this option as I found it easier but dealer's choice. It also has a pH tester for the water which is very nice. It only takes 30 mins for a batch but does not drop too many in one batch, more like 3 or 4 per batch so if you anticipate needing/wanting many pieces at a certain time I would plan ahead. Overall a cool product if you are interested in adding some pizzaz to your craft drinks or having a cocktail party
