Eddy Plus Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Straw

I bought the metal version of the Camelbak to replace my plastic one because of my concern about microplastics invading everything. Glad for my choice.

Love my Camelbak water bottle. The NO HEAD TILTED back to drink feature with the straw works perfectly for me. I drive a lot, and it allows me to safely take a drink while my eyes stayed focused on the road. Also, the insulated feature keeps my water at a perfect temperature in spite of the three digit heat. Thanks for a great product!~

Does it's jobn it's not loud to me. I mean, sure if I suck wrong I get some sounds but generally can quickly adjust and get a silent or normal straw sound. Biting isn't a pain to me. *shrug* but i bought the non straw lid aa well ao i don't have to wash it and wait if I needed to, can just swap and go so... I like them both!! Just aoaked my old stuff in Vinegar to cut off smells and it works wonders. I'm terrible at staying with a wash schedule. I like it! Thank you!

One day, while sitting on a horse, drinking hot water from my regular eddy+ water bottle, that had been sitting on a fence post in the Florida sun, I said to myself...........I said, "Self.....wouldn't it be great if this water were cold?" In one of those "duh" moments, I poked around the website and found the same water bottle, but insulated. I love that I can work it with one hand-cause the other one's usually holding horses, it can sit on a fence post in hot sun and keep the water cold, it's tough and durable for when it gets knocked off the fence post, and super easy to clean, carry, and see the bright colors from afar. It clips on the saddle with a carabiner, and is an easy size to hold. I'm not a big person, so some other brands are too cumbersome to manage. The top seals shut, doesn't leak in the car, and the stainless steel carries no odors/taste from various drinks. Would probably work for hot beverages, but I only use it for cold.

I forgot to empty the bottle before going to bed. Around 7:30 pm, I put 4 or 5 ice cubes and water in it. As I said, I forgot to empty it when I went to bed at 11 pm. This morning, after 11.5 hours, there were still tiny ice remnants and the water in the bottle was still ice cold. It seems like the bottle is working flawlessly.

We are pleased with our new water bottles, which keep the liquid cool or cold for a couple of hours. I don't believe that these are as good as our old Camelbak stainless steel insulated bottles, which really kept ice frozen for several hours. Also the bite nipple seems more difficult to clean, in that we're afraid it will eventually tear the inner silicone connector tube. But, for now it is satisfactory.

I don't like the "Bite" part of the BiteValve at all. I have a small punch, so now it is a "straw". My old Camelbak water bottle that I've had 20 years or more, the hard plastic part that the Bite valve fits onto, is longer and better. So I could just take the silicone bite valve off and it worked great for the decades. Also, My old one's hard plastic & flexible mouth parts going to the straw, were easy to clean with a small bottle brush I have. The new silicone everything looks difficult and the "BiteValve" impossible to clean inside it. I can see it being unsafe to use in the future do to build up of gunk inside where it is impossible to clean. It's also annoying to remove and worse to reattach. I've attached a picture of my old one. Just recently, the cross piece in the upper loop broke out, after decades of use. In short. The old design is better. Better function & easier to clean. Only thing better about the new ones are the color and size options. I wish my old top could fit on my new bottle.

I like how it holds a lot of water and it's stainless steel. I don't like the spout. You have to bite it to get the water out and it's not covered when not in use. I used to have a Contigo and it's spout was covered when not in use. I liked that because then I knew it was always clean. It's good otherwise.

I had a Camelbak previously and loved the fact that the closed mouthpiece kept the beverage in the straw so i wasn't gulping air each time i drank. I don't know if the design has been ‘improved', but my new one doesn't function the same way. Since i have used it, i guess it's mine anyway.

The bottle is very well made and so is the lid. My issue is with the removable nozzle design as it falls off easily. I have already had to purchase a nozzle replacement kit (not sure why it includes the straws) and i have owned the bottle less than a month. I don't feel like having a soft nozzle is worth being prone to losing it on a regular basis.
