You sell it cheaper than others
I've been a car guy going on 47 years now and counting and way back when some of you may remember Carter Carbs. I sure do, they were second to none, simple tunability characteristics that yielded great results. Vic, god bless his sole, knew this also and carried on the tradition of selling quality pieces just like Carter did back then. I've used dual quad setups as well as single 4 bbl. branded by Carter and now Edelbrock and Company for years on all my restomods and I not afriad to say I won't buy anything else. I don't lose any sleep worrying about the motor tune on my cars everything consistently come out perfect. If your thinking about buying one don't waste your brain activity on this one. It's a no brainer just buy the carb and enjoy.
Have a 1968C10 long bed decided on 500 avs2 had 650 edelbock on off brand high rise went with edelbrock manifold plus avs2 easy install didn't even have to change timing, all I had to do was adjust idle. Runs significantly smoother, also getting better fuel mileage.I bought spring kit but right now haven't change to yellow at this time I don't think I will. One more thing when parked in garage don't get gas oder in garage. Thanks Edelbrock!
I bought this after talking to an Edelbrock rep reference another issue I was having. It bolted right on and ran excellent right away without any necessary tuning. I played around with the tuning just for fun but it was set right out of the box. Thus far it has performed flawlessly and I wish I would have bought it sooner instead of messing around with what I had on the 289 before it. VERY VERY satisfied !!
The carb performs perfectly and the Jegs experience was superb...even $20 off the usual price free shipping etc
I replaced an older performer carburetor. The automatic choke seems to have a little issue, only reason for the 4 star rating.
