Great intake
I had very little choice with the low hood clearance of my '68 Cougar, so I went with this intake out of necessity. I was a little apprehensive about it and not too confident I would see much of a gain. I couldn't have been more wrong. This intake, a comp XE 256 cam, 1 5/8" full length headers, a flamethrower 3 dizzy and coil, and a 600 cfm carb make for a potent little baby v8. The intake and carb were the last piece of the puzzle and they REALLY woke this thing up. This intake builds torque where my little 289 needs it most; in the low and midrange. Still it pulls cleanly to between 5000 and 6000 revs. My cam is done by 5200 so this intake is perfect for a mild cam.
