good quality
You can buy less expensive gaskets for FE applications, but usually you get what you pay for. In over 50 years of interest in Ford Fe engines I've learned a lot about valve cover gaskets and how to keep them from leaking. Edelbrocks may cost more but the quality is spot on. I've used these before and I'll use them again.

These gaskets require a drip pan.
I put these on a 390 with ProMaxx aluminum heads and fabricated aluminum valve covers. The valve covers were checked for straight surfaces on a sheet of glass with a feeler gauge. Straight. The heads were checked with a straight edge. Straight. These gaskets could be used in a kerosene lamp as a wick. The outside edge of a gasket should never get wet. These soaked thru quickly.

Edelbrock 7568 gaskets
Ordered and delivered promptly, was dissapointed to find out they were cork gaskets. They are described as high rubber content composit. Disappointed to say the least when I cut off an alignment tab and saw cork. I would have returned them but were already glued to the valve cover. The black coating was coming off when wiping surface with brake cleaner before glueing . If I wanted cork, there are options that are cheaper.
