Edge 1030 Plus

The best cycling computer that you can buy. When paired with the tail light you have safety at its best. My wife loves the tracking feature so that she can see where I am to make sure that I am not off the road in a ditch. Also the incident alarm sends out your location if you go down. Can't beat all the features that this one has.

This is my third or fourth Garmin which I use for cycling. I wanted a device that would provide a good map, download routes and rides easily, give me turn by turn directions, and provide adequate battery for 4-5 hour rides. My previous Garmin was the Edge 1000 which under-performed from the very beginning (low battery life, hit and miss on syncing with Garmin Connect, failed auto start most times). The Edge 1030 so far has performed impeccably. Figuring out the data screens took some time and I am still working on that. This device has multiple functions that I do not use so figuring out how to disable or ignore them requires manual reading. Battery life running a course or route has been good so far. Quite pleased with this device so far.

The large screen is great to easily find and sort data. Screen pages are highly customizable to show only what you want. Battery life lasts multiple rides (2-5 hours each) before needing a charge. Easy to save and share favorite routes with other riders. Syncs great with other Garmin devices, but sometimes will drop my Polar HR monitor. Overall solid biking computer

Tons of options to customize workouts, navigation, and how you view your data. The screen is large, crisp, and responsive. The battery life is amazing, lasts forever and doesn't drain hardly at all when left to sit for a long time if you don't have the opportunity to get outside and ride. The connection and data sharing via the Garmin Connect App is seamless and it uses the data from Strava/Connect to suggest rides/workouts.

Great device, LOADED with features... only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the screen seems washed out and not very vibrant like the Edge 530... The blacks are more of a dark blue and the maps just arent as crisp, but again TONS of features and I am enjoying having the touch screen. Ill add a comparison photo when I get my bike back 👍

My use to date is somewhat limited as I am using this while riding on a non smart trainer so I haven't been able to test out its full capability. However, I do have a cadence sensor and speed sensor connected to it, which was super easy. I have become familiar with most features and they all seem fairly easy to use. I would recommend spending the first couple of hours playing around with the screens and info to not only customize it but to be able to easily navigate on the fly. If you already have one similar to this, disregard the previous comment. Lastly, battery life appears to be great! I currently ride 40-50 miles a day, again on a non smart trainer inside, and I charge it once a week.

Had Garmin for years, some days works fine, other days wont since after a ride or live track doesn't work, even maps fails.

I have had my 1030 for a little over a year. In the last few months it will not charge when plugged in. You have to pull the plug and reinsert it a few times and once it connects even then it may not stay connected to give it a full charge. Very disappointing. Also yesterday it wouldn't connect with my phone. I had to go through the Bluetooth process twice and never got to use it on a ride so still not sure if it is working properly. Very unsatisfied.

I was looking for something that had simple trail maps that I could do free rides on and either great crumb or navigate my way back to the starting point. This does not seem to be that product. The G.U.I. is not friendly yet using the phone to control the device is not friendly either. I've ended up using my phone to navigate back more than a few times. Disappointing is an understatement.

I have no luck with this device. It is most difficult to connect sensors and at time just will not connect. Very frustrating as I have used Garmin cycling devices for 10-15 years with no issues only full function. Not sure what I will do next
