Very pleased. It's more like a pomade than a gel so you have to take a nice sized finger full but it applies very well and has staying powe. It does not dry out my hair. In fact, it may actually moisturize. Didn't notice a problem with flaking. I would highly recommend for edge control of new growth of African American relaxed hair.
