So far so good!! This unit keeps that beer keg nice and cold..really cold. Last one I had couldn't get it below 36-38, I had to turn this one up a bit cause it would freeze up a water bottle when I was testing it out. We'll see how durable it ends up being.
If your refrigeration system fails, it is a lot of effort and money to get it fixed. I have two tappers outside all year. Now there is no need to buy the "whole nine yards" if it fails. I consider it as a repair module. Very easy to transfer the tower and it's components. Viola, new tapper.
Great and very cold refrigerator, I use it with a cooling fan to pump cold air into my tower. Completely amazing.
great brand and works excellently for our samples
Gets the job done. If you aren't worry about it being fancy, get this unit.
So glad we bought it! Works great. Perfect birthday gift for husband...
Excellent product. Holds two 5gal kegs either Sankey and Corny easily. Keeps them cold and fresh.
Overall, the unit does just what I wanted. Wheels make it mobile, runs quietly. Only issue I had was when I reversed the door, the gasket did not seal around the entire door. It turns out it had compressed in storage. So I had to manually pull it w/o pulling it out of the door frame. It worked, but was a step I did not expect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Handsome looking appliance and great price. I went with this model to add my own tower with upgraded faucets. It gets very cold, and runs quietly. Biggest drawbacks for me: 1) Surprisingly, no internal light source and 2) it has a non-precise dial temp control of "1-6" instead of allowing me to set an actual temperature. The previous Edgestar model I upgraded from had digital controls, temperature setting and an internal light so not sure why the next model up wouldn't have at least the same. Regardless, a great appliance all in all.
My second unit quit working this year. Both units made it just past the 2 year mark. So no warranty coverage. My suggestion, if $180/year plus the cost of disposal seems like a reasonable maintenance cost to cool your beer, buy this unit today and plan to order another in 24 months.
