Educational Insights GeoSafari Kidscope, Kids Microscope, STEM Toy for Ages 5+

Purchased this for my five year old grand son and he really likes it. I like how he can store the little slides in a drawer built right into the microscope. Nothing can get scattered or lost.

My grandson was thrilled to receive the Educational Insights GeoSafari Jr. Kidscope for his birthday! He immediately checked all the slides and asked many questions that his mom tried to answer to the best of her ability! He is a very inquisitive young lad and this seems to have been a great gift for him.

This kidscope is one of the best toys I have received by far. It's easy to use, and operate. The colors are beautiful. It's very educational in a fun and constructive way. Keeps kids entertained for hours. I love how it create imagination, and brings kids to bring up more questions, and explore extra details about each slide they see. Excellent product

My kids love this Geosafari Jr. Kidscope. This kidscope is an amazing way to introduce the concept of microscope to the younger kids and also introduce Science to them. This is really cute, extremely portable and well built. It is also very easy to use for the younger kids. The kidscope comes with a variety of slides, talking about various topics like plants, vegetables, body parts and more. This definitely increased my kids interest in some of the slides and they wanted to learn more about them. I would say that this is definitely an amazing and educational toy for kids. It is the perfect way to introduce Science to the younger kids.

When my son came from school and saw the box he was so excited. He quickly open the box put the battery on the microscope and started using it. Is very easy to use and fun for learning. It comes with a little book explaining every single imagines. Very recommended. Im looking forward to buy the telescope for him.

I was excited to receive this in exchange for my review. I have a 7 and a 4 year old who love science. Everything was simple to use, very detailed and understanding. The pictures are clear to see, even my 4 year old who can't read was able to distinguish most of the pictures so he can see under the scope. The only cons is that eventually after they looked at all the slides they did get bored of it. It's not that interactive for their age to understand, but it was very educational and cool for them to see everything up close.

What a fun toy! It's easy to use and great for little eyes and little hands. There are an awful lot of pictures included to look at, which is fantastic--it's not exactly like viewing through a microscope (only 3x magnification), but it backlights it so you're basically looking at a slide. And this is more about the experience for the little ones, not actual observation of actual microscopic things. And I love that there is a booklet with more information about each picture included. The drawer for the slides is also so handy. What I don't like is that the slides have a little tab that tells you where to put it on the viewer, but it slips out of position super easily, which can make viewing frustrating sometimes. And I will warn you that each individual slide has a thin plastic film on it to protect the pictures--it says to take the film off, but I had one heck of a time doing that! Some came off easy, some not so easy. You can look at things just fine with the film still in place, or else curse all your days while you try to fight with getting the film off the 15 slides. I do also wish that there were more defined positions for the viewer to be in as you rotate it to view the different pictures--it's too easy to get inbetween pictures or just a little out of position, and you really need each circle in the right position to view it properly. All told, though, this is a fun thing for little kids to get a taste of what it's like viewing things with a microscope.

I would say it's perfectly ok for a kids microscope. It says for ages 5+ but, It's not interactive at all and my 5 year old can't read. So she either needs me to be involved and read the little slide facts handout to her or all she really is doing is looking at a slide of something and she won't know what it is unless I'm there to tell her.

This was pretty awesome! I think I enjoyed it more than my kids. My kids go to a nature school so they were able to relate to a lot of things they saw on the slides. Sometimes it was difficult to get the slides to focus and view easily. Overall the kids loved it and have enjoyed ot greatly

Very disappointed when I watched my 7year old niece open this for a Christmas gift. When she tried to look into the scope, the head of the scope would always droop down. As adults we checked to see if there was a way to adjust the head but wasn't. Also the slides were very vague when you looked into the microscope to view. Overall, needless to say my neice who loves nature, bugs, trees, was disappointed with this gift I had given her which when she is disappointed, I was greatly disappointed with this purchase.
