I found that the assembly instructions were not very beginner friendly at all, with diagrams that were small and difficult to follow, and several steps where it was not clearly shown which way certain panels were supposed to face. I like the look of the fluted design and the sliding doors once everything is together, but I found this item having pieces that did not line up perfectly on the first try being extra stressful when I was trying to fit the doors onto their tracks, as I had to loosen and readjust multiple screws just to get them to slide properly. The hardware was all included, which I appreciated, but there were no extra screws provided, so I had to be very careful not to lose any of the small pieces during the process. I did not notice any sort of pungent smell coming from the materials, so that was a relief, but I did notice that some of the pre-drilled holes were not exactly aligned with the brackets, which made screwing everything together take longer than it should have. I also really appreciate when furniture comes with clearly labeled parts, but these pieces were only marked with small stickers that were hard to see, so I spent extra time sorting through everything before I could even begin assembling. I have only been using this item for one week, and now that it is finally assembled, it does function as a table, but I am not sure I would want to go through that building process again.
