These Wick Filters are working as they should. drawing up water from the bottom of the tank and soaking the wick it' self with no problem unlike what some buyers are saying and our house stays at the right humidity level I set it for during the late fall and through winter season. One thing I always do is to pre-soak the wick with water onto the filter when I have a new one to help the wick to hold water instead of just sticking it into the slot in the back bottom of the humidifier. This helps the wick to soak up the water in the bottom easier instead of being a dry wick and it takes a few days for water to raise up the wick to work, but by pre-soaking the filter first you'll see it works better and faster. The way you can tell if the wick is soaking up water from the bottom is after three or four days I just reach down inside the under the fan motor to make sure that the filter is wet is that the water is still up towards the top of the wick, pretty easy to tell if it wet then for sure the filter wick is holding water as it should. I think it's important to soak the filter wick before installing it, like pre-soak I call it, I'm not saying to Saturate it so much that the filter is dripping a lot of water, I use about 16 ounces of water across half way up the filter from the top and it has worked every time. These "EFP" Wicks work fine and I have been using this brand a few years now and they are better priced than the Aircare brand. Again pre-soak the filter half way up and you'll see that is what does the job for you. Thanks for reading and hope I helped someone.
Arrived promptly. Installed with no problems. Will see if holds up after one season.
I'm happy with my filter and my humidity levels are good again. Moist air helps my heat pump move the air better.
quick ship. saved a lot of money. Nearly 50%.
Does not wick very well. Lasts a quarter of the last brand I used.
