I found this egg ring to be adequate for the task I purchased it for, to cook an egg to a tight round form that is easy to flip. Just place the ring down on the heating surface, drop some oil in before cracking the egg and wait for the solid white egg that is easy-peasy to flip as desired. I personally like to slide that egg to the edge and flip it in the pan , which is harder to do if the egg white has grown all over the place before the flip attempt. The ring's handle has been designed to to bend away from directly over the egg to keep your fingers from the steam but it feels very loosley attached like it's going to fall off sometime. It's a cheap product that while easy to replace will likely prove it's worth.
These worked perfectly! The eggs will leak out of the rings a little, if you pour some water in, it “seals” the bottom and stops the leaking. Worked like a charm for my egg McMuffins
I didn't consider that I wouldn't be able to flip my egg. It will need to be used in a cooking utensil with a lid to properly cook an egg to most people's liking.
I bought this egg-shaped item thinking it would hold up to heat, but the handle broke almost immediately. It's not sturdy at all and didn't perform the way it's advertised. Really disappointing.
They do not lie flat, so whatever you pour in —eggs, pancakes, or anything else —it leaks some under the ring and spreads out anyway. This item is not useful.
They do not work. The egg leaks out from under the ring. They may work to cut the egg in a circle once the egg is already cooked for breakfast sandwiches . I have not tried this yet. If they don't cut a circle they will go in the trash. Big waste of money as far as I am concerned
not worth the money. as others have stated, the handles melt too easily and can pop off the ring as well as potentially cause burns to the consumer due to the heated handle. the ring also does not old the egg inside very well with egg leaking from the bottom of the ring resulting in the cooked egg not maintaining its shape.
These rings will make your eggs round so they fit on round bread items, English Muffins, sandwich rounds, but most of the egg white runs out from under the ring so you lose most of the egg.
I assumed the eggs would stay in the ring, NOT. Plus, my skillet was hot, and the butter melted, so the eggs still ran under the product. I might as well continue making eggs the way I am accustomed to. Don't think they work well
Smelled strongly of the Walmart cologne that penetrates almost everything ordered from local stores these days. My eggs smelled and tasted like that even after soaking the rings in vinegar, Dawn detergent, hot water, etc. Ugh.
