The reason I pay for these eggs is, I had chickens for years and the Brown Eggs have the best flavor for everyday %26 special baking needs... I've had to give up my flock and this is the closest egg on market that I can find to replace the eggs layed by my Golden Comet Hens
I really like these eggs and appreciate the health/nutrition information I've learned from other sources(medical %26 nutritional). I'm taking daily medication for a medical condition which is helped with certain nutrition support. In this economy there are few affordable options available to me. the protein and vitamins in eggs are the besf I can do right now.
Our family love scrambled eggs with cheese and during the pandemic I started buying the Eggland's cage free brown eggs and I'm glad I did. I used to think eggs were eggs, but I can tell a difference in these eggs for the better. I highly recommend these Eggland's cage free brown eggs.
I feel good purchasing cage free eggs. They are delicious! Pictured is a small meal I made for my niece...fried potatoes with garlic, onions and cheese along with scrambled eggs. I have also used these eggs for baking and my baked goods turn out perfectly ♥️ Will purchase again!
i often cook my eggs with spinach and bell pepper if i have them. onions also add some flavor to the dish. nothing original just tasty. the shells are very solid and sometimes require a firm smack on the bowl edge. i also like poached eggs with some salsa, if on hand.
The eggs taste like eggs should. However, 3 eggs were broken inside despite what I consider to be good built-in cushioning in the form of an extra layer of plastic when the carton is opened. But Walmart gave me an account credit for the carton due to this problem, though I rather would have had no broken eggs than an account credit.
Ordered for home delivery - I was actually soooooooooo happy that none of the eggs were cracked! This was a substitution for the white eggs, same brand, in which I saw no difference. I've read it is just from a different breed of chicken.........however they charge you more :( Anyways
I only get these when the regular Eggland's Best high-Omega-3 eggs are out of stock. These brown shells are weird--they will not crack open, they just crush. The regular white shells don't have this problem. These supposedly have equivalent nutritional value compared the the regular Eggland's Best, and I don't notice any flavor difference. But trying to crack one of these makes a huge mess, and shell is much more likely to end up in the bowl. I've tried cracking these on the bowl edge (various different bowls) and on the counter, and they always just crush/crinkle and won't make a clean crack to open the egg.
Cage free is just a little bigger cage. The yolks have changed 2 a lighter color. I buy these when there's nothing else. Organic and free range should be a priority. Organic for no pesticides on the ground (pasture raised… free range is the lesser alternative) and no antibiotics given to the hens. Why aren't they getting on the train for pasture raised? But again, the yolks tell me more about their product because these chickens are probably free ranging in a building with no live plants to feed on, with the inclusion of roots, bugs and other things outdoors.
I kid you not.., I feel very certain they are coloring these eggs brown. I look at every one and they have colored lines, lighter or darker, like when you color Easter eggs. they egg yolks were so pale yellow it was disgusting and they had no taste at all, NONE. if you buy these, look at them when you get home. I promise you, you will see the lines, mainly at the mid-way mark (like bottom colored darker than the top). so over this talk about how everything is better and cheaper these days.
